After a successful launch of his new pop-up supper club, 'tasting room'. Chris Jordan is proud to announce a new chef joining A Taste Samantha Harvey, Chris met Samantha as an apprentice at Flying Fish in Sydney at 17 years of age.

Samantha born in Australia completed her apprenticeship at The Park Hyatt Hotel, Sydney, and enjoyed two years working in Somerset, England, at The Castle Hotel during which time it retained its Michelin Star. Chris Jordan was formerly chef at the acclaimed Flying Fish & 4fourteen restaurants in Sydney.

Sam says “As a small child I remember vividly going with my parents to the bustling fruit and vegetable markets in Flemington, as well as The Sydney Fish Markets. The smells and sounds of these markets were always captivating and that is certainly where my passion for food first began. ”.

Chris & Samantha source their ingredients from nearby farmers' markets and small businesses. Chris says, “I set up 'A Taste' to provide a genuine alternative in the London restaurant scene. Now with Tasting Room as a more permanent fixture and with the help of Samantha we plan to use the fine seasonal produce that the UK has to offer whilst adding an Australian flair".

Chris also believes that eating should be a shared experience, so the food at ‘tasting room’ will be served at large, communal tables where diners are encouraged to bring our own drinks.

A taste. is proud to announce our first charity event! Money raised through the event will go toward the sponsorship of Adam Januszewski, who is riding 292 miles from London to the Eiffel Tower in aid of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
The event held at Stage 3 in Hackney will be a great night filled with fresh flavours, live music & carefully crafted cocktails!

There will also be a special live performance by Soul and RnB singer, Deleelah Music.
Adam will ride 292 Miles in 4 Days Starting out in London and crossing at the finish line under the Eiffel Tower.
Donations will be made when purchasing tickets on Grub Club. You will have three donation options depending on how generous you feel. All profits from the night will go to the foundation, which is the only charity in the UK wholly dedicated to the defeat of lung cancer.

We've fallen down the rabbit hole... again! To celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll we're hosting a journey Through The Looking Glass at Stage 3 in Hackney with a 5 course feast for only £32.
Chris Jordan & Samantha Harvey will be treating diners to a sensory experience, watch as the story unfolds with each course, projections & sound. Expect a relaxed vibe & some fresh flavours with spacious seating split over two levels, friendly staff and... a buzzing atmosphere.
5 Course Menu includes,
Flower Garden Cucumber, cauliflower, radish, flowers & soil
White Queen's Pawns King prawns, white asparagus & chicory
The Sheep Keeper Braised Suffolk lamb shoulder, fennel & jus

This is the second time we've recreated dishes from one Lewis Carroll's novels. It's been almost a year since we hosted Mad Hatter's @ Lost & Found Cocktail Bar in Balham. We plan to push the bar further this time!

Our Michelin Level Sunday Brunch will be popping up at the uber cool Stage 3 in Hackney this month!! Chris Jordan & Samantha Harvey serving up some wicked bites, Stage 3 matching cocktails & Black Box Coffee to keep you buzzing!
After a successful launch at Startisans, Covent Garden we're bringing the concept to East London! Samantha and I first worked with at Flying Fish in Sydney under Executive Chef Peter Kuravita.
After completing her apprenticeship at The Park Hyatt Hote...l, Sydney, Samantha worked for two years at the Michelin-starred Castle Hotel in Somerset. Under the guidance of Richard Guest, she gained an amazing insight into the country lifestyle and the important role that farmers and food suppliers have in the restaurant industry.
Instead of the formality you’d normally expect with fine dining, our aim is to take you on a fun adventure through modern British gastronomy. Expect a buzzing atmosphere, shared tables and friendly staff – all for just £20 per head.
