Abacus Blinds is a 30 year old family business owned and run by husband and wife Mark & Michelle Watson. Based in Maidstone, Kent.

Abacus Blinds is a small family business, which has been run as such for the last 30 years. We are the leading independent made-to-measure blind manufacturing company in the Maidstone area.

The Abacus Team, who have many years of experience in the blind trade, carefully and skillfully manufacture beautiful roller and vertical blinds, using top quality British made components, on site at our premises in Penenden Heath, near Maidstone.

We also source wonderful metal and wooden venetian blinds, shutters, Intus and Perfect Fit blinds, awnings, dutch canopies, skylight blinds, rigid or wooden vertical blinds, fly screens, and roman blinds from the best UK manufacturers.

Abacus Blinds is a registered member of the BBSA, the British Blinds & Shutters Association. The association takes a leading role to ensure the highest possible standards of product, service and fair trading throughout the trade. Each member adheres to a strict Code of Practice and is kept updated with changes in the industry via regular communications.

Child Safety is something that our Team feel very strongly about. In early 2014 the standards regarding the manufacture, supply and professional installation of internal window blinds changed significantly. It is now illegal to supply or professionally install an internal window blind which does not comply with the child safety requirements of BS EN 13120: 2009 + A1: 2014. Abacus Blinds therefore adhere to these regulations and give advice and fit safety devices on all relevant blinds. You may find it helpful to read our Child Safety section.

Due to the excellent reputation we hold, we are rapidly expanding our client base, both with domestic and commercial customers. We supply and fit blinds to hospitals, schools and local businesses as well as many satisfied repeat and new customers who wish to bring a touch of quality to their home. All our staff have been DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) checked.

Our prices are very competitive and we have an extensive range of fabrics available to suit any colour scheme. Sample fabrics will be brought to your home so that you can choose a suitable colour to co-ordinate with your décor.
