On Monday 30th July 2018 we hosted Summer Cocktail Parties to celebrate all care sector workers who GO THE EXTRA MILE, raising funds for The Care Workers Charity
The Care Workers Charity (CWC) supports current, former and retired care sector workers (regardless of their roles) across the country who are going through tough times. They provide the rainy day fund for everyday heroes. We are very grateful for any support you can help us give to this very worthy charity.

Friday 13th July saw 5 staff from Avery Group Support centre and 3 staff from our closest care home, @AmarnaHouseCareHome, complete @TheCareWorkersCharity Three Peaks Challenge in Yorkshire. The challenge is run over the three highest peaks in Yorkshire, all forming part of the Pennine range in the Yorkshire Dales National Park in South Yorkshire. In total the teams climbed over 5400 feet, walking 24 miles, collecting some wear and tear in doing so, but all are recovered now. As a team they have raised nearly £3000 for the charity! We are very proud to be a founder member of the Care Workers Charity as well as a gold sponsor.
The CWC’s Going the Extra Mile event on July 30th follows on from the successful Three Peaks Challenge. We will be supporting the CWC at our big Summer Cocktail Party too! We hope to see you there.

So today at Abbey Court we have a birthday. Happy Birthday to our beautiful resident Barbara. Some of our ladies surprised her by making her a birthday cake. Well done ladies it turned out lovely 💐🎂🍰🎁🎉🎊

A beautiful afternoon in the garden today. We was joined by one of our regular singers Glen 🎤🎼🌞there was plenty of singing 🎤 and dancing 💃

Monday our residents were entertained by the lovely Natalie knights. Everyone had a wonderful morning 🎼🎤

Without there care & devotion I don't think my mom would be here

Thank you so much to all staff who cared for my Grandad (Harry Turner). He wasn't with you too long but the care was amazing by all staff. Everybody was so kind and attentive to him and always ensured he was safe and well. We really appreciate the hard work staff put into their jobs and the care provided to the residents was excellent. Thank you again for caring for my grandad right until the end.

My nan received excellent care at Abbey court. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for her. They always made time to answer any questions we had sensitively. It is lovely and clean, very welcoming and my family were kept involved and up to date on all her care.

My husband has been in abbey court now for about 6 weeks, the care is outstanding, the home is excellent, its modern clean and fresh, the staff are wonderful . could not ask for anything more.

Ido activities love to see the smiles on there faces love my job xx

I've been working at abbey court for 3 months now and I am really enjoying my time here with the residents and staff!

I used to work at Abbey court and totally regret leaving! The staff, residents and residents families are lovely and I hope one day I can be back there as carer again.

I have worked here for nearly 5 years and the changes have been amazing since Avery took over and our new manager started!

I have worked for Abbey court now for over a year and it's a lovely place to work with lots of opportunities and training available, my career is progressing well here and look forward to spending many more years working here.

I have worked for Abbey Court for 13 years, I have seen a lot of changes. When Avery took over things started to change for the better. more training, new equipment purchased, new decorating, and more entertainment .

I have only been at abbey court for 2 months but i am enjoying every minute of it I am looking forward to my future here.

I have been working at abbey court now for nearly a year. I really enjoy it. Caring for the clients ans working with great staff..

I have been working at abbey court now for 6 years.i love going home knowing I have made someone happy.i wouldn't be where I am today without the support of other members of staff.i hope I have many more years working there
