Abbey House Hotel & Gardens

Great food, Great Hotel, let down by poor night sleep from noise wedding party made first night and birthday party second night. Poor sound proofing passing through 2 floors. Not recommended for a relaxing break.

Attended for a friend's wedding and stayed over for 1 night. We'll presented room, very comfortable bed. Staff friendly and efficient when dealing with lots of guests. Bars had a decent selection of drinks (no ales though). Set meal for the wedding dinner was good. Can't comment on the location for tourists but it was fairly easily accessible from motorways.

Very good Hotel, nice setting, beautiful garden (unfortunately not the right weather for a walk around).
Friendly staff, very comfortabel rooms. Good bed. Just don' t like carpet in the room, would be better with a laminate or tiled floor.

Recently refurbished to a high standard, this hotel is most likely the best in the area. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. The bar and restaurant also serve high quality food and drink, although prices are slightly on the high side. The grounds of the hotel are outstanding and well worth a walk around. My only advice would be to check if any events are planned for the night you wish to stay; there were two weddings on the night I last stayed and I could here loud music up until about midnight. Whilst this doesn't really bother me personally, I can imagine it would disrupt a light sleeper a lot. On the whole though, I would highly recommend this hotel

Was enjoyable from arriving to departing. Staff were very accommodating and welcomed us warmingly.. Room very clean + comfy.. Food gets top marks. The outside 14 acre grounds very stunning. And the Abbey old ruins were fascinating. Overall a very nice stay. Would return..

Great spot for a wedding or other events. Really nice rooms, decent breakfast too. Beer not too expensive considering the poshness of the place. Lovely grounds for the family to play in.

A very modern hotel housed within exceptional classic surroundings, ideally located upon the main road for ease of access. Fine dining along with many exceptional facilities unfortunately my wife and i did not have the time to experience everything within our visit but would most certainly return hopefully in the near future.

14/4/2017....Have to admit the hotel and room is Fab but I'm currently in my room but may as well be in a night club as the music coming from a function is so loud it's running my stay here roll on 12 am when hopefully it will end..... So disappointed!!!!!!!! and all the girl at reception can say is sorry which is of no help then to add insult to injury we got breakfast delivered this morning which was cold and totally dry think is safe to say we will not be returning .
