It's been another good week at @abbeydalesquashandfitness 😊. People pursuing good health and moving more through the many active avenues available within our facilities: from squash to strength training; rehab to rowing; pugilism padwork to postural correction!
There has been a good response to the questionnaire that went out on Tuesday and thanks to those who filled it in. 👍
We have looked at the feedback so keep your eyes peeled as we will be starting some of the group clas...ses from week beginning 10th June! 💪

I've been giving some boxing-combination taster sessions in the gym this week, as the Boxercise-style classes have received keen interest. Although the two boxing images in this pic involve male members, there have been plenty of ladies putting the gloves on and getting involved. Come and grab me this week if you want to try, everyone welcome, whether you are a complete novice or fancy yourself as the next Anthony J... erm, Andy Ruiz! 🥊
Other classes that have received substantial interest are: HIIT workouts; Ladies classes; Active Aging; Squash warm-ups / mobility and more.

Hi everyone 😊 Paddy here from the gym at ASFC. I hope you’ve had a great weekend. I’m excited to say that tomorrow morning we will be sending out a questionnaire to members asking what class preferences people have (amongst other things). There will be a range of options; from HIIT to boxing fitness, circuits to ‘Active Aging’ classes. Keep your eyes peeled! Non-members will also be able to sign-up for classes 💪

Well done to all the winners of last nights club championships. There was some fantastic matches and it was a great night overall! Congratulations to club champion Ollie Turner for getting his name on the historic trophy

Club champs finals starts in 15 mins with the juniors at 4.30pm and adults from 6.20pm. Bring the family and come along and support the players

Club championship finals and family night from 4.30pm on Friday 17th May. Come and join us for a fantastic night of squash and racketball. There are 16 finals on the night so bring the family along and enjoy it with us. There are 2 courts FREE on the night for families to try and each competitor of this years competition gets a FREE drink from the bar.

Whilst your club resolves its current issue, we are offering you the opportunity to book our courts without paying a guest fee so you can continue playing until Princes is back up and running. This offer applies to all adult squash members of Princes Sports Club. Junior members are also welcome to attend one of our junior sessions without having to join the c...lub.
Adult members
To book a court at Abbeydale, give reception a call to check court availability. Courts can be booked over the phone but they must be paid for in advance either over the phone by debit/ credit card or at the reception desk in person. Courts are £6 for 40 minutes. You will be required to fill out a membership form at reception but no payment will be needed for your temporary free guest membership.
Juniors
Visit the website to find and register for a session. Contact Mark if you have any questions about which session to attend.

Gym Manager Post
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to the role of Gym Manager.
The successful applicant will have responsibility for the day to day operation of the Gym, line management of the Fitness Instructors and will also be responsible for the development of the gym’s equipment and programmes.
... The post holder will work approximately 30 hours a week in the gym.
Hourly rate to be negotiated but will reflect the responsibilities involved.
Start date: to be agreed with the Club Committee (but the post becomes available towards the beginning of April).
There will also be additional earning opportunities through:
· Use of the facilities for private Personal Training work, as agreed with the Committee
· Running classes as agreed with the Committee
· Additional hours (covering staff holidays and absence)
