A whole year ago, exhibiting as part of One Year In at @newdesigners 🍭 Slightly crazy to think of everything that's happened since then - I hadn't even moved into my little pink studio then, now I'm opening it up for @jqopenstudios tomorrow! 🔨

Happy Monday! Today is @justacard day, a day to raise awareness of this super important campaign which encourages buying from independent makers and shops, and thinking about where your money is going! It can be really tough to be a self employed maker - sales can come in waves and sometimes you don't know when the next bit of money is coming in which is pretty scary! The idea behind #justacard is that when you buy from a small business or shop, you're directly supporting that individual, and even buying "just a card" (or pair of earrings!) can make an unimaginable difference ✨ (plus there's still 15% off on my website until midnight! 👀)

Today I'm throwing back to this cheesy selfie from just over 2 years ago - it was the day that I submitted my business plan to the @princestrust and was interviewed on it by a Business Launch Group (a bit like Dragon's Den 🥺). They approved it and that was the official start of my business!
