Excellent site has everything you need for a peaceful camping experience
As a Caravanning and Camping Club site it's appalling. The road down (which they might not own) is a disgrace with so many potholes the van was continually grounding even at 3mph. Sites and power are ok but the toilet/shower block is dire, there are birds nesting in there, frogs crawling up the walls and it's filthy. One toilet needed the bulb changing and it wasn't done in th entire week we were there. It could be SO much better.
This was our number one destination for our break this year. It was absolutely chucking it down and this was the perfect base camp. It is a barn conversion so there are a few cobwebs, but you'd have to be a giant to sweep them all away! All shower / toilet facilities were clean, as was the barn itself and plenty of firewood was supplied for the stove (which was needed to keep warm and it warmed the whole building!). It's the perfect place to get away from hustle and bustle and keep cosy! The owners were very friendly and attentive, and the handyman was extremely helpful. From everywhere I've ever stayed, it's in my top 5; so much so we've just booked again for November, and I can't wait!
