Abc Day Nursery, Pre-School & Forest School

We have been outside threading, using ropes and tubes. 😃

We are outside doing an obstacle course looking at different ways our bodies can move.

Painting with the pipettes.

We are mixing the different colours of paint together by using the pipettes. This encourages pincer skills, talking about how the colours change when mixing them, develops vocabulary and recognition of colour.

We are all really excited this morning. We have received a card from The Duke and Duchess of Sussex thanking the children for the lovely card they made them for their wedding day.

We have been investigating what happened to our bowls of water that we left out last night.

The preschool children have been making icicles for their 'winter' display. ❄️

We are also painting with sticks. The children are definitely enjoying the lovely sunshine today.

We are now adding different colour food colouring to the water using pippetts which develops our pincer skills.

We are filling up bowls to see if the water turns to ice tonight.

We are practicing to write our names and practicing the sounds of our letters.

Helen is outside teaching the Pre-school children letters, sounds and rhyming words.

We have had a very busy day. Playing with the animals on the ice, going on an ice hunt, crushing the ice with our feet, doing a winter workout and talking about the different shapes we can see in our environment.

My 13 month old has been at ABC for almost 3 months and she absolutely loves it. When I drop her off, it’s lovely to see how happy she is around the nursery staff and other children. She’s thriving in her developmental stages and I really think that a lot of this comes down to all the hard work these ladies put in on a daily basis in making this such a fun learning and loving environment �

As a parent it is always difficult to find the right setting for your children especially when they are a baby. You want to ensure that it meets your needs and more importantly the childs. ABC has done just that, the setting is great, unimposing, really homely and comfortable. The staff are absolutely amazing, every single one of them. Over the years I have come to see them as friends and my little boy absolutely loves them, he's been attending ABC since he was 15 months old. I have seen him develop immensely, learn new skills including woodwork and gardening which I know will come in use in our house. The support you get from the staff in those troublesome phases, i.e. potty training, is invaluable! I highly recommend this place and the staff (and have), to anyone looking for a nice setting in the heart of cullompton with some absolutely amazing staff . I will be shortly starting the process again with my second boy and look forward to watching him develop through the baby room and beyond!

ABC Day Nursery really is super! We couldn't hope for a better place to send our little ones! The staff are wonderful, always going the extra mile and they really care about the children and their development. Our daughter is now at school after starting ABC at 9 months old and our son has just one year before he goes to school. They have both loved going to nursery and they are turning out quite nicely indeed! What better testimony! Our biggest thanks to all at ABC!
