Abelha Organic Cachaça

Abelha is a small-batch, artisanal, organic cachaça produced by an enterprise of sugar cane farmers in the vicinity of the distillery. It's a family-run, single estate cachaça which places a large emphasis on natural farming and distillation techniques, organic production practices, and being 100% sustainable. Abelha Cachaça Silver is rested for 6 months in open stainless steel tanks and is a full-flavoured cachaça, with an intense fruity-aromatic nose, a fresh sugar cane and stone fruits taste with a smooth dry finish. Abelha Cachaça Gold is aged for 3 years in 250 litre casks made from Garapeira wood, a Brazilian Ash, and has a honeyed and balsamic flavour with a spiced and peppery note on the palette. Since then, we've made it our mission to train and certify the local farmers in organic sugar cane production, whilst safeguarding traditional and natural farming techniques to create the highest quality hand-crafted cachaça.
