Good morning. Abeno will be closed from 4:30pm this afternoon. We shall be open again as normal from lunchtime tomorrow.

µśÄŃüæŃüŠŃüŚŃü”ŃüŖŃéüŃü¦Ńü©ŃüåŃüöŃü¢ŃüäŃü ŠŃüÖ’╝ü Happy New Year! We are closed on 1st and 2nd January and open again for the evening on the 3rd.

Abeno is closed all day today to allow our decorators to apply their final touches. We shall be open again as usual from 12 noon tomorrow.

Our more observant guests will have noticed that the walls have enjoyed a new lick of paint in recent weeks. However, what even they will not have realised is that the paint is organic, free from all the toxins and chemicals that most paint contains. The colour scheme is drawn from an analysis of those used in the works of Hokusai and, we hope you agree, looks good enough to eat (and probably is, bearing in mind the above).

Abeno will be closed on the 3rd, 4th and 5th September for some minor refurbishments. We wish the tiles in the washing-up area a long and happy retirement after their unflinching service over many years.

After 14 years of happy Okonomi-yaki cooking in Covent Garden, Abeno Too will be closing next month, provisionally on Wednesday the 6th. ­¤śź
Abeno on Museum Street will remain for, we hope, at least another 16 years. ­¤śü Once we have found a suitable site, another Abeno, committed to the same values of delicious food, responsibly sourced and lovingly prepared, will emerge.

This was my first visit, and found the food was cooked well, and I could taste all the ingredients. It was an amazing experience for my first time eating authentic Japanese cuisine. Will definitely come back ­¤śĆ­¤śĆ­¤żŚ

Super friendly service, great food quality. Nicely prepared and made at the table in front of you. Was a super fun stay. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for :)

I haven't had okonomiyaki in nearly 19 years since I left Japan and I've been hoping to find an okonomiyaki restaurant ever since and today I stumbled across Abeno Okonomi-Yaki just by chance walking past. The taste was amazing and took me right back to life in Iwatsuki-shi in 1995-1997 so thank you, thank you, thank you so much for even existing! I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in London. I don't suppose you'd consider opening a branch in Shrewsbury?

Fantastic! Cannot day enough good things about Abeno! We were confused on reservations and showed up without any - they snuck us in for a quick dinner and gave us great service! Food and drinks were delicious!! Will certainly be back for another visit in the future! Great location and easy walking from Trafalgar Square.

Nice food, good service. Brought back lots of memories.

Great food. Service is a bit slow but mainly down to the number of customers and the food being freshly cooked in front of you. Once the okonomiyaki is on, it is pretty speedy. I suggest getting starters if you are getting the Abeno special
