A healthy back means a healthy horse! Very good read 🐴

Holly enjoying her treatment Emma Barker🐴 she was a good representation of how horses can compensate for things such as saddle problems or past injury’s in different areas of their body’s and then become very tight within their muscle skeletal system because of this. Horses then become shorter or unlevel within their strides and lose range of motion. It was great to see Holly really releasing that tension build up and stretching out to supple up them muscles.

Great examples of pole work exercises for flexibility, suppling and strengthening work

🌟🐴 Lovely testimonial from a client of mine...
“Abi has made a huge difference to my horse, Indy. He has suffered with hind limb lameness which had been attributed to wear and tear, however, having had Indy in my life since he was 10 months old, I instinctively knew that he just wasn’t happy. I knew of Abi’s work and asked her for a consultation, she has treated him twice. She is very observant and her knowledge is extensive. She picked up on his problems in hind limb, should...er and loin. Indy loved his treatments and is now happily hacking. I have my horse back!!”
🐎 Regular massage sessions really do benefit our horses, alleviating any tension, pain or stiffness, which can especially be aggravated by winter weather ❄️
If you have noticed any of the following symptoms in your horse ….
⚠️ Changes in performance or behaviour? ⚠️Resistance to work? ⚠️Stumbling, tripping or shortness in stride? ⚠️Unevenness in gait?
Please contact me to discuss how I can help.

Just received my CPD saddle assessment certificate‼️ Another ticked off the list ✅
Highly recommend Georgie Webb at G&T saddles, very knowledgable, passionate and good at her job. Really great and interesting day🐴 G&T Saddles
Correctly fitted tack and equipment is very important and can create problems further down the line which can have an affect on horses performance... below is a leaflet I have made previously of some issues this can create and what owners should look for 🐴🐴

User

Great advice from Gillian Higgins on rugging horses especially for this time of year as the weather is so up and down 🐴

⭐️⭐️SPINAL FREEDOM⭐️⭐️
Had a great two days attending a CPD Spinal Freedom course learning new techniques to add to my treatments! Really beneficial for manipulating the spinal column and ridding any tension surrounding any of the vertebrae and areas of the skeletal system. 🐴🐴
🏇🏼Tension can build up around any areas of the musculoskeletal system which can cause restriction in movement and can possibly lead to lack of performance, unsoundness and/or injury🏇🏼
... ‼️It’s so important for horses to get checked by therapists on a regular basis just like it is for them to have a farrier, dentist, saddle check etc. All professionals work to enable horses to perform at there very best‼️
