Ability Positive

Ability Positive launched in November 2019, it was started by a Young Disabled couple living in Greater Manchester, they realised there was a lack of information and guidance for people living with disabilities or those with ongoing access needs. With one of us a Wheelchair User and one a Wobbly Walker, we know that we face a different set of challenges to our non-disabled friends. If an organisation didn't exist to help us, we knew we had to start an organisation to help others. So whether you are a Wheelie, Wobbly Walker or a Whizzer; We believe that good quality accessibility advice, ongoing support and socialising opportunities promotes independence and provides dignity to all. Knowledge is Power, together we can provide a platform for unheard voices in our Local Areas and to empower them to step forward and be heard and engage!
