Ablecare Homes Description
AbleCare Homes is a group of six residential care homes across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. We offer residential care, short breaks and day care at all of our homes. At Belvedere Lodge and Crossley House we offer Dementia care and mild Dementia care at our other homes, Rosewood House, Patron House, Hengrove Lodge and Frenchay House.

A minute's silence has been held across the UK to commemorate the key workers who have died with coronavirus. The Prime Minister Boris Johnson, joined the tribute at 11:00 BST. The team at Rosewood House took part in the silence earlier today.

Brenda who lives at Frenchay House celebrated her 81st birthday today. Her family came to visit to share their birthday wishes & love from a safe distance.
Barbara who lives at Frenchay House received a lovely bouquet of flowers from her Nephew. She enjoyed arranging them to display in her room.
Joan from Patron House had a lovely birthday and really liked her tin of Soap & Glory treats given to her by us all in the AbleCare Homes team.
The Rosewood House team have been enjoying their garden in the good weather. Deb and Sabrina played a game of badminton and Wojciech did a spot of fishing.
It's good to have a sense of purpose and be able to complete some meaningful activity to help around the home. It helps us all to feel better if we have achieved something for the day, that's certainly what the ladies from Rosewood House felt after folding the laundry to help the staff team.

We would like to thank Nathan who is working as a temporary chef at Frenchay House. He presented creamy risotto with pan seared sea bass for lunch. The presentation was beautiful and residents ate every scrap. 👏
