Well Happy Bank Holiday Weekend Cheadle :) We are all having a fab weekend - we have had The Abney Arms open and thriving, as well as a birthday party today and lots of regular visitors! Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow for full English Breakfast and then a pint in the arms! Me and Steve haven't forgotten about your playhouse! We are just contemplating the possibilities, Build from scratch...….Buy flat pack, Buy Used, Buy something new like Wig Wams??? Anyway see you Sunday and Monday kiddies :)

Well Cheadle am DELIGHTED to tell you that although the school in question has struggled to identify the children involved they HAVE taken responsibility for the children being in Uniform and have offered £100 towards rebuilding / re purchasing the play house. Now I know it cost more than that etc etc but I am DELIGHTED by the school accepting ownership of this shocking behaviour and doing the right thing. WELL DONE PARRS WOOD HIGH SCHOOL A SCHOOL THE COMMUNITY CAN BE PROUD OF. I have invited the Head - at his leisure- to bring kids from the school down to Abney for Forrest school etc and then hopefully we can encourage and build the Abney cafe of the future................................... ...................................LOVE ABNEY LOVE CHEADLE# thewomanjustdoesntgivein

Playhouse update following a meeting with the Head of the school involved this morning. The meeting was constructive and it is encouraging that the School takes responsibility for the conduct of its pupils off premises wearing uniform. Stuart ( Chief Scout) is very kindly in contact with the school today to provide his written statement that he had prepared with quite detailed descriptions and the Head is warmly inviting him into school to view pictures of pupils as ...appropriate. I am sure that there is a rather fine woodwork department at the School and a vibrant fundraising ethos. I do hope to have further encouraging news for you in the very near future regarding this ongoing and unfolding situation and as ABNEY CAFE BELONGS TO EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU LOVELY LOVELY PEOPLE We will, of course, keep you fully abreast of any and all developments. Good Evening Cheadle...……..so I came round the corner bright and breezey armed with my black pudding this morning and then dropped the shopping on the floor and cried...………………. Pupils in school uniform smashed up the children's playhouse yesterday afternoon at 4 pm by using the wood as battering rams. The pupils were heard smashing up our playhouse and the 'Chief Scout' ran around and shouted at them to stop. They responed by telling him to !"£$%%^ off and he threate...ned police and they ran away. Am not revealing the name of the school or the ringleaders name, which was overheard being used by the other children on here until I have had the opportunity to speak to the school first thing on Monday morning. Obviously have reported to police. Anyway just in case you walk rnd the corner and see it and think What happened????? Horrid pupils happened who have ruined the fun for everyone as we can not afford to replace it at the moment as we are loosing 60pplus % of our normal trade due to the roadworks and 'park improvements' Shall let you know Monday what happens...…………...

Now you know we make the best bacon barm in the borough...….well coming this weekend it's time for Full English Breakfast at Abney Café ........2 Sausage ,2 Bacon , Fried Egg, Tomato , Mushrooms, Beans, 2 Toast and a brew for a £5. We also have homemade roast chicken and vegetable soup, Homemade scones and hopefully warm chocolate chip cookies...………….yep u guessed it got me a cheeky Aldi Oven :)
