ABODE is a new property agent which opened its doors in Tavistock in May 2014 after moving into their 'new abode' at 86 and 87 West Street along with further expansion into lettings located next door at 24 Market Street. We are extremely proud to be the first and only agent in the town to be open 7 days a week and available 12 hours a day on weekdays, and our dedication to providing the best possible customer service has cemented our reputation within the town which has won us many awards over the last few years.
We specialise in Residential Sales and Lettings and we cover a wide area of West Devon & Dartmoor, right across to East and North Cornwall.
ABODE is jointly owned by Kevin Hailey and John White, and all staff at Abode are dedicated experienced employees where they have shown keen interest in the business’s success since opening and therefore everything that they do for both sellers /landlords and buyers /tenants alike is done with passion and with great attention to detail making it an enjoyable experience. We are not a franchise, nor are we part of a staid corporate chain, so for us it is as much about building our reputation as selling /renting your property – and we are highly motivated to succeed in both. We have also brought extended opening hours to Tavistock. We are open /available from 8: 30am to 8: 30pm. We do that by using state of the art Cloud-based office software, enabling us to access all buyer, seller and other data – including our diaries – giving us the ability to be available wherever we happen to be, so if we go to an appointment at 7pm, we can divert the office phones to our mobiles and therefore deal effectively with any enquiry, viewing, offer or client feedback remotely.
This flexibility in the way we work ensures we are always available when our clients and buyers need us most. . . including all weekend and into the early evening.

A very big thank you to Martin, Will and all the Abode team for selling my house. We've finally exchanged contracts today and I'm impressed by the extremely friendly and professional way everything has been handled throughout.
