*Light Tomorrow with Today* training course in Daugirdiškės, Lithuania
From personal development trough different workshops and reflections, to developing our bonds while completing tasks and spending time together. This training course took 28 youth workers and leaders to a reflective emotional ride of self development, during which we were exchanging our professional and personal knowledge, climbing on the ropes, preparing dinner together, discovering Vilnius, finding ourse...lves in the beautiful nature, that was surrounding us for this 7 days and swimming under the immaculate starry sky.
We've learned new approaches of preparing workshops, motivating participants, solving conflicts, giving constructive feedback, evaluating and observing our surroundings.

#StepInTheirShoes #day4
It was the hardest night... Windy, cold... Some of the tents were even destroyed by the wind. But we survived! With hot tea made from the wild flowers (Yeva's tea ☕💙)!!!
We are stronger then yesterday!

no need to talk too much. great energy great ideas bringing people together and make them think differently, in combination with physical activities. Thank you very muchhh!!

User

good work, good people, good projects. Step in their shoes in Wales was chalenging but awesome and mindblowing aswell. Love all the people and all the sweat we left there with all participants.

User

When I applied for the project I found it interesting but I wasn't sure that it will help me. Now, that it ended, everything turned upside down and I am extremely satisfied with what I learned. An international experience is always different. Besides the new countries and cities, you meet so many insipiring and motivated people and when you hear their stories you want to do more in life. The project itself was great, very well organized and so useful for everybody. So out if this international experience I got inspiration, useful facts, motivation and desire to improve myself.

User

Usually after international events the participants are satisfied, but why?

I think the main reason is that on these projects the participants (and the organizers as well) are part of a type. I don't like the stereotypes but in this case it's easier to explain myself in this way... You know... there are those kind of people who are Doing something in their lives besides those things which are expected from the society. I really like these kind of people, actually my favorite ones! And if you wanna find some of this kind, I suggest you to check out the Abroadship org regularly!

Thanks for everything!

Till the very end of deadline to accept chance, to attend Media Creator project, I was not sure will I fit for this project. I didn't have confidence to share my knowledge about media creating. Basically because of the fact, that I was really strict for my lack of information to media creating skills. But I use motto - better to try and regret, than not to try and regret. So that what I did and I accepted possibility to be part of Media creator.

From the start of the project I felt that my journey with media started just after arrival to London. From the first day every participant and facilitator from different countries were approachable and happy to answer my questions related with media. The amazing group of people helped me to improve myself as media creator and personality. We had amazing practical media workshops about how to use software programs. Also we built many self branding videos and photos. I feel that now I am able to create more professional media. And most important I know where I have to improve myself as media creator and brand. For me it is most important and I will start to improve that part of me as soon as possible. So thanks for all team and keep doing this;)

The Step in their Shoes Youth Exchange in Wales has been the best Erasmus+ project I've participated in so far. The activities were really interesting, raising important topics and providing space for discussion and reflection, the venue of the project was one of the most magical, wild places I've ever visited, and on top of everything, such an amazing mix of people! At the end of the exchange I had gained valuable new experiences, knowledge, ideas and my heart fell full of emotion and satisfaction. I miss everything so bad already!

User

Step in their shoes in Wales, organized by Abroadship, was undoubtedly the best experience of my life so far. Amazing concept, great activities, inspiring participants; well-organized, by amazing people who first and foremost love their job. My participation really broadened my horizons and changed significantly the way I perceive the world and my place in it.

User

Recently participated in #healthyhabits: Self-Leadership project which surpassed my expectations. Relevant topic with lots of different activities and a great team to support the participants. Thank you for your effort, time was not wasted here! Wishing you luck in your future projects :)

User

One of the best experiences in my life.Excellent organization, Fantastic facilties and amazing people. Thank you for everything <3

User

MediaCreator#3 gave me much more than I expected. Because of this youth exchange, I’ve got motivation to seek more information about media, tools for self-branding and how to use it efficiently. I was learning not only from amazing facilitators, but from wonderful participants as well. We were sharing our own knowledge on different topics and teaching each other various things that we will use back home. It wasn’t only about professional side of Media Creator – we also improved as human beings; we saw the aspects of new cultures, various values and beliefs. All in all, it was a great experience, who can actually change a lot of things about my future.

Thank You! <3

It was a peeerrrfect project! The trainers were awesome, so kind, so well organized, the activities were absolutely perfect!! The energy of all these people was unbelievable. It was such a special week, so memorable, with experiences of a lifetime!

I've attended many other training courses/youth exchanges in the past but Think Like Nature has to be my favourite. The fact that most of the programme was delivered out in the open, in nature, was stunning, and also a breath of fresh air from other trainings I've attended in the past that always took place indoors and inevitably led to the odd dozing-off. The blindfold activities we did were, in my opinion, balm to the soul. I think I wouldn't have minded being blindfolded all week and being led by someone else, or vice versa. Furthermore, the extra activities we had in the evenings were fantastic. The trainers/facilitators were top-notch, and their sense of humour was a delight. The group was sweet, warm, respectful, and genuine. I enjoyed myself in their company. Thank you all for such a delightful week!

User

I really enjoyed the whole experience. I learned new things by doing and participating in random activities, by working as a team to achieve a goal. I became more aware of what healthy habits and healthy foods really are and I will totaly use all this knowledge to improve my diet,my health and my life! #healthyhabits #London #UK

User

I participated in "Healthy habits: food and diets" in London. This Project was much better than I expect. Most of the participants had a lot to say about the topic. I learnt a lot about nutrition, communication, non formal education and about myself also. I had a chance to change my life for week and I am very grateful for that. Amazing time and people. Very professional and well organized leaders ;)

User

I have participated in many European and International projects in the past, but I dare to say that Step in their Shoes - Running in Northern Ireland was one of the best I have ever participated!!! An excellent idea, nicely and wisely organised by so active, skillful and interesting people. It made me reconsider many things, gain new and fresh ideas and find out new perspectives on key issues. Thank you so much for this opportunity!!!

User

I had a really invaluable experience on my first ever TC - Think Like Nature. A really rich programme really well put together and organised with lots of things to experience and be immersed in there and then - and to take home with you that keeps growing. The whole organising team and facilitators were super great and caring, always going 100 % to make sure everything was the best possible, feeding and nurturing such a great and warm environment for exchange, learning and more. I feel very grateful to have been part of this week, learnt so much from the woods and from the so many lovely and inspiring people that I met and that will keep travelling with me.. so a big thank you - this very special experience will keep resonating for a long time..

User

Abroadship offered me a great opportunity to live a really magical experience during the youth exchange Step In Their Shoes while hiking in Wales. I want to really thank you for creating such a program and helping me reconsider my way of thinking.
