Me and my best pal came today for cocktails and stayed for about three hours! Had six each and they were all amazing! Staff were all really friendly, one lovely lady let me charge my phone Neilās the counter so it wouldnāt die on the way home, and we hope you enjoyed the doughnuts just before we got our train home! Will definitely be back. Thanks guys ļæ½
I booked in advance to surprise my husband with a meal with a load of our friends for his Birthday. My number count changed a load of times and Brygida (who I was emailing with regarding the booking) was really patient and accommodating. We ended up with 16 of us in total, had a great table. Great service and lovely food. Everybody was pleased with their meals and with the experience. Almost all of us had the groupon deal and they were efficient in processing it and didnāt get annoyed at all that we all had it! They also came and sang happy birthday with the cake we took with us. Would definitely recommend for a fun birthday meal for a big group!

Ambiance: Music so loud you canāt here each other/ what the waiting staff are saying. TURN IT DOWN! If Iād wanted front row at a concert Iāll buy tickets.
Service: Slow, I mean dead slow, not sure if it has a pulse slow.
Staff attitude: Appalling, Apathetic.
Who ever is in charge: TRAIN YOUR STAFF. Send them on a course, talk to them, coach them & if they really canāt be bothered- Just sack them.
They are letting you down which is a shame. You will not last long in Bath at this rate.

We feel like we were pressured into our drinks. We both ordered a cocktail from the menu... The waitress asked if we wanted to do the 2 for 1 special. We said yes- as 2 for Ā£9ish sounded brilliant. When another waiter arrived with four drinks- we were a bit surprised. He said the offer was only on two of the same drinks, so he had two for each of us. My Ā£9 cocktail deal just doubled. ļæ½ funny thing is- we looked through the menu... And this rule wasn't stated anywhere. I would have loved to have different option drinks, and not sure why it mattered in the first place... All the drinks were the same price to begin with!!
Went for wing Wednesday. Social media said you could have wings or tenders. Manager then said no tenders only wings. Bottomless wings is really a figure of speech in this instance. You canāt have the hot one, and they take so long to come out that itās a pretty big stretch to imagine you could ever eat more than Ā£12 worth. Plus you can have 8 on the first round, then only 4 after that. So many rules, all designed to maintain profit margin Iām sure! Waitress one chucked chips all over me, waitress two had no clue about the menu then forgot the dip on the second round of wings (to be fair she she said she was new). Far from an enjoyable meal and wonāt be going back.
Was there early (5.30pm) so service and food was very quick, but as soon as it began to get busy the waiters forgot all about us, we waited 30 minutes for a dessert menu only for them to forget so I asked for the bill which took them another 20 mins to come and complete. It was a Weds evening, hardly rushed off their feet. Food was quite nice but the children's menu is limited. Seems like a better place for young people after work looking for a drink at the bar with some chicken!

There were 3 waitresses on duty and barely a handful of people in and yet we waited ages to be served and then were basically ignored. We had to always seek out the waitresses attention for more drinks or sweet menu and then they took ages before coming back again to take order and to being sweets all seemed like they couldnāt be bothered to me like we were an inconvenience .,we spent Ā£115 so would at least expect some courtesy from staff, this was our first and last visit and after reading other peopleās reviews since I think you should seriously have a word with staff on customer service
Food was excellent, but the service was appalling. Took over 45 mins to get a drink and food order, then sat with our empty plates in front of us for 30 mins before someone eventually walked past and I asked for the bill. Front of house definitely let there kitchen down.

We then orders drink to which the waiter was rather rude my two friends ordered theres and because one of us was still deciding on what cocktail we would like he proceded to say "well is that all you want" not great customer service. THEN we come to food... We asked the waiter if the food we wanted would be hot and really spicy? He said no it would be a little spicy but not too much. We each had different meals and The food was so bad none of us could eat it and it was so hot and spicy you couldn't taste anything just your mouth burning.
As a suggestion you should really advertise that you serve food hot and spicy food.
Waitress tried to charge full price on lunch menu and look annoyed at no tip. For a chicken burger, there was little chicken...
This would have been by far a much better review had I not been so annoyed. We went for the bottomless wings, food was nice actually however, the service was shocking, we were told by a waitress who frankly couldnāt care that we were not allowed to order 2 cocktails for 9.95 as well. Really disappointing considering this was not made clear at any point either on the website or on the menus.
We would have probably bought at least 3 rounds of cocktails if this was not the case but instead we decided to eat our food and get drinks elsewhere.

Myself and my partner were stood waiting to be taken to a table for what felt like ages. A female server was at the bar doing something with the till and didnāt even bother to look up. Eventually we went over to her and she showed us to a table. After 15 minutes and no service we got up and left. I will add that this was lunch time & it wasnāt particularly busy. That shouldāve been a sign!Terrible, doesnāt even deserve one star!
It's really telling that the only review they appear to have replied to is someone who didn't manage to visit. After my latest experience, it seems that is the best option when going to Absurd Bird Bath.
I was in a couple of weeks ago, taking advantage of the 50% off food when booked online for an early birthday meal. A good deal, but it seems this reduction is taken off the service as much as the food bill. I'd been a couple of times before and had recommended it to friends based on those experiences, but I won't do so now.
The food was good, as before, if a little less novel owing to it being my third visit. The table we were at, while easily able to sit my party of five in the booth, was barely big enough to accommodate our food, and we had to stack our onion rings on our side of 'absurd fries'. The tables need to be bigger or the plates smaller, or at least better provisions for larger parties.
Sadly, as other reviews have said, the service has taken a dive in quality. Spped is not what they are going for; either there are not enough staff, or they are uninterested in their customers, but as has been said in other reviews, the going rate seems to be one course per hour, which for me is far too slow.
Attention to detail doesn't seem to be top on their list of priorities either. The two courses we did hang around for, were both brought out with the grace of a migrating wildebeest. Both had a dish missing, which could have been noticed with a simple piece of customer service known as a question, but alas, after they had brought out what they had, the servers disappeared to wherever the hell they were for the rest of the night. We had to actually get up and hunt someone down for the absent plates. Never has a receipt printed with the phrase "Service Not Included" felt so fitting.
Talking of the receipt, the staff don't seem too keen to take your money either. After giving up hope of being offered the dessert menu, we turned our attention towards flagging someone, anyone, down to print our bill. Nope. We probably could have easily left without paying, and eventually figured the best method for paying was to make as if we weren't. Payment taken, we were finally free to leave, and don't worry, won't be troubling you with my custom any time soon.
If your thinking of buying the groupon deal don't bother! The staff literally had no clue how to process the voucher and got our bill wrong several times taking 4 members of staff to try and work it out! They all acted as if they hadn't ever accepted a groupon voucher before. The manager thought she had to take the price of the voucher of the bill not the actual deal we bought, Also terms and conditions state you CAN use on weekends however they've made up they're own rule that you cannot use it on weekends until Christmas as they get busy with the market so Beware.
Can't knock the food it was good and nice cocktails however the staff are really letting this lovely situated place down. We were served by 4 different staff so there was a lot of unnecessary confusion. No cutlery given to us had to wait 10 minutes for that, drinks took 15 minutes to come to the table, 25-30 min waits between courses it was just a mess. Disappointing.

I have been seated before in a booth and had to beg for a waiter to then be told 'service is always bad when you are sat here as we can't see you' so why sit people there!! Last week I ate at the restaurant and 4 of the 5 of us that ate could not get off the toilet the next morning I tried to call to inform you 5 times and no answer. I private messaged you on here explaining the issue and no response! I will never be back and will tell all of my experience

Came last week to the bottomless wing night and it was awful! Arrived at 7:50 and at 8:55 we still hadnāt received any wings! When we complained they told us he fryer had broken.... why not tell us this when it happened?!

We booked a table to find had already been taken, not a problem there where other places to be seated but the waiter made another group of three move which was completely unnecessary! We then orders drink to which the waiter was rather rude my two friends ordered theres and because one of us was still deciding on what cocktail we would like he proceded to say "well is that all you want" not great customer service. THEN we come to food... We asked the waiter if the food we wanted would be hot and really spicy? He said no it would be a little spicy but not too much. We each had different meals and The food was so bad none of us could eat it and it was so hot and spicy you couldn't taste anything just your mouth burning.
As a suggestion you should really advertise that you serve food hot and spicy food.
Waitress tried to charge full price on lunch menu and look annoyed at no tip. For a chicken burger, there was little chicken...
This would have been by far a much better review had I not been so annoyed. We went for the bottomless wings, food was nice actually however, the service was shocking, we were told by a waitress who frankly couldnāt care that we were not allowed to order 2 cocktails for 9.95 as well. Really disappointing considering this was not made clear at any point either on the website or on the menus.
We would have probably bought at least 3 rounds of cocktails if this was not the case but instead we decided to eat our food and get drinks elsewhere.

One member of staff was very rude. Didnāt seem to want to be there or want to do her job. Waiting 35 minutes for starters. And then a further hour for our mains. Meals were bland and not very nice at all. Most definitely do not recommend
Myself and my partner were stood waiting to be taken to a table for what felt like ages. A female server was at the bar doing something with the till and didnāt even bother to look up. Eventually we went over to her and she showed us to a table. After 15 minutes and no service we got up and left. I will add that this was lunch time & it wasnāt particularly busy. That shouldāve been a sign!Terrible, doesnāt even deserve one star!
It's really telling that the only review they appear to have replied to is someone who didn't manage to visit. After my latest experience, it seems that is the best option when going to Absurd Bird Bath.
I was in a couple of weeks ago, taking advantage of the 50% off food when booked online for an early birthday meal. A good deal, but it seems this reduction is taken off the service as much as the food bill. I'd been a couple of times before and had recommended it to friends based on those experiences, but I won't do so now.
The food was good, as before, if a little less novel owing to it being my third visit. The table we were at, while easily able to sit my party of five in the booth, was barely big enough to accommodate our food, and we had to stack our onion rings on our side of 'absurd fries'. The tables need to be bigger or the plates smaller, or at least better provisions for larger parties.
Sadly, as other reviews have said, the service has taken a dive in quality. Spped is not what they are going for; either there are not enough staff, or they are uninterested in their customers, but as has been said in other reviews, the going rate seems to be one course per hour, which for me is far too slow.
Attention to detail doesn't seem to be top on their list of priorities either. The two courses we did hang around for, were both brought out with the grace of a migrating wildebeest. Both had a dish missing, which could have been noticed with a simple piece of customer service known as a question, but alas, after they had brought out what they had, the servers disappeared to wherever the hell they were for the rest of the night. We had to actually get up and hunt someone down for the absent plates. Never has a receipt printed with the phrase "Service Not Included" felt so fitting.
Talking of the receipt, the staff don't seem too keen to take your money either. After giving up hope of being offered the dessert menu, we turned our attention towards flagging someone, anyone, down to print our bill. Nope. We probably could have easily left without paying, and eventually figured the best method for paying was to make as if we weren't. Payment taken, we were finally free to leave, and don't worry, won't be troubling you with my custom any time soon.
If your thinking of buying the groupon deal don't bother! The staff literally had no clue how to process the voucher and got our bill wrong several times taking 4 members of staff to try and work it out! They all acted as if they hadn't ever accepted a groupon voucher before. The manager thought she had to take the price of the voucher of the bill not the actual deal we bought, Also terms and conditions state you CAN use on weekends however they've made up they're own rule that you cannot use it on weekends until Christmas as they get busy with the market so Beware.
Can't knock the food it was good and nice cocktails however the staff are really letting this lovely situated place down. We were served by 4 different staff so there was a lot of unnecessary confusion. No cutlery given to us had to wait 10 minutes for that, drinks took 15 minutes to come to the table, 25-30 min waits between courses it was just a mess. Disappointing.
I have eaten at absurd bird many times and sometimes it is great however I have had some bad experiences both with food and service. I have been seated before in a booth and had to beg for a waiter to then be told 'service is always bad when you are sat here as we can't see you' so why sit people there!! Last week I ate at the restaurant and 4 of the 5 of us that ate could not get off the toilet the next morning I tried to call to inform you 5 times and no answer. I private messaged you on here explaining the issue and no response! I will never be back and will tell all of my experience
Food looked good but far to spicy, even though we had asked if it was going to be hot ! Only good thing about this place is bogof cocktails
Came last week to the bottomless wing night and it was awful! Arrived at 7:50 and at 8:55 we still hadnāt received any wings! When we complained they told us he fryer had broken.... why not tell us this when it happened?!
I usually love this place but the service is becoming increasingly bad and the staff were very rude!!
Asked waiter if food was spicy to which he relied no. Ordered our food all 3 of us couldnāt eat the food was covered in chilli no taste to the food at all. Bland food covered in chilli sauce, canāt get over the fact we paid Ā£60 and no one managed to finish the meal.
