The customers experience begins long before they travel and often after their return. As an ambassador for ABTA and our Members, you’ll be an integral part of a dedicated team who, through excellent customer service, can help the customer and ABTA Member when something goes wrong. Using a range of communication skills, such as email, letters and most o...ften answering incoming calls, you’ll support our customers.
While your communication skills, both written and verbal, must be exceptional, your ability to listen is equally as important; as you must empathise with a customer and respond to their situation. Besides being pro-active and confident in taking independent decisions, you’ll have the ability to resolve difficult situations and preserve loyalty to the ABTA Member and to ABTA.
The Ideal candidate should have:
A high standard of literacy and excellent communication skills; Experience in or out of the travel industry of dealing with complaints; Patience and calmness under pressure; Good people skills and telephone manner; Ability to handle difficult situations; Flexibility; and Confidence.
