Don't be upset when I don't laugh when you say, 'it's just like taking my driving test' on a test drive. It's the tenth time I've heard it this week. I think I'm pretty good at playing driving instructor so there's always an alternative career choice!

We love to see this line used in advertising. Age related marks. Of course, marks which just appear on bodywork over time. Never mind the ghost of Christmas past, what about the dent ghost? You buy a brand new car, mothball it and the dent ghost appears every year to hammer some more dents in. Everyone knows that don't they?
So next time you reverse into a bollard, open a door into a wall or scrape a transit van parking, you can always pass blame on to the dent ghost.
It's a line we'll never use in advertising! It will only ever be our small stock of trade ins that may ever have any superficial cosmetic damage (as that'll be what it is at worst). And because we're selective of these, only very rarely as we only take in well maintained clean examples.

Ah, warranties. The pieces of paper that promise the world, and cost the earth, but often fail to cover anything.
We have learned the warranty companies to avoid through our experiences in using them and selling their warranties. In general, we find car warranty companies more corrupt than insurance companies in their constant wriggling out of any liability.
That is why, we no longer "sell" warranties to our clients. Sourced vehicles will either still be covered on manufacturers warranties, or we recommend the AA for warranties on older cars (and we sell these at cost). We don't profit from selling a useless contract which frustrates both you as the buyer, and us as the intermediary.
So, don't go profiting dealer sales staff by buying £500 "Gold warranty" policies. Rest assured that your vehicle will be covered at the best possible price by using us!

Ahh, service history. That old chestnut, we've heard them all. Service book lost in house move. Always been serviced by my brother in law's gerbil who's a mechanic, honest guv. I always took it to the main dealer but never took the service book. And have seen many fake service books with fictitious stamps.
... Here at Accelerate Cars, all our vehicles we source will come with genuine, evidenced service history. Often, I will buy direct from main dealers who have looked after the car from new and know it to have been maintained on schedule, as well as being reliable.
Don't buy a car without evidence of service history. A badly maintained car will regularly bite you in the wallet. Whereas a well maintained car will have a far longer life, in many cases many times more than one that is not.

This is a often used way of trying to haggle a big discount. Cash costs much more to process than a bank transfer for example both in time and banking charges. It's not as desirable as it's often made out!
... We will accept cash for payment, along with debit and credit cards (enabling some of the cheapest unsecured finance rates), and bank transfers.

One of the biggest scams in the car sales industry are cars previously written off, being repaired and sold as straight as if it never happened.
*So, always insist on a full hpi report with any vehicle purchased, to rule out anything sinister such as insurance write offs, outstanding finance which can have massive implications on ownership and any potential insurance claims.
... All our cars come with a full HPI report as standard, and we simply don't deal with any written off vehicles.

Having stumbled across Dan and his car sourcing service I was a bit sceptical at first and thought it might have been too good to be true. However, having spoken to him at length it soon became obvious he was a genuine guy with an open and transparent business model that could save me the hassle and risk of finding my next car whilst also saving a bit of money in the process.



I was very specific with my car/model requirements and Dan set to work finding one. His standards are high - crucially as high as mine are - and so I had every confidence he'd find the right car in the right condition.



A few cars came and went - either they didn't meet Dan's strict condition/background requirements or we were gazumped by high retail sales from other buyers (direct to the garage that Dan would be buying at trade from). Eventually the right one appeared and within a week it was mine.



Would I use him again? Absolutely and without hesitation. It was such a stress free experience that I can honestly say I'll miss it!

I wanted a weekend car, something for the summer, but i couldn't find the car I wanted locally. I trawled Autotrader but the cars were too far away and I didn't have the time to go searching, contacted Accelerate Cars and Dan set out to find a car for me, I told him what I wanted and how much I was willing to spend. He did everything for me, he used his trade contacts and emailed me with possibilities. In the end he found a car near Nottingham and delivered it to my door. I paid the trade price plus the finders fee and delivery. All in all I saved between £500 and £1k on forecourt price. Which on my budget was a huge percentage saving.

I found out about Dan/Accelerate Cars through a mutual friend, and liked the sound of his sourcing service since i wasn't exactly sure what i wanted, and i wasn't keen on buying a car through autotrader and finding it had a load of hidden problems.



Within 4 weeks Dan found me a perfect car (2012 Alfa Romeo Giulietta) which i'm delighted with, and have already driven it to France and back with no problems whatsoever. As an added bonus, the price i paid was around £500 cheaper than any similar examples on autotrader, not bad considering Dan did all the work finding, negotiationg, checking and transporting the car to Bristol!



Would definitely use again in future.
