About Accseas

The principal aim of ACCSEAS (Accessibility for Shipping, Efficiency Advantages and Sustainability), is to implement and demonstrate a practical e-Navigation test-bed for the North Sea Region. By looking to harmonise, integrate and exchange electronic maritime information on-board and ashore, ACCSEAS aims to contribute significantly to the resilience of critical maritime infrastructure and ship-to-ship services to improve safety, security and environmental protection. Offering leadership in the development of future e-Navigation solutions, ACCSEAS also looks to inform standards and policies set by regulatory bodies in Europe and Internationally (including IALA, IHO and IMO). A 3-year project running to 2015 and funded under the INTERREG 1VB North Sea Programme, ACCSEAS has 11 partners from Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the UK.
