Famous explorer Digger Jones has just returned from his latest expedition where he has uncovered the world's largest diamond the Koor Blimey Diamond.... The diamond is rumoured to be cursed and when a body is found near the jewel it looks as though the curse is real! We recently got married here and the venue was amazing. All the staff were super helpful. We'd like to say a big thanks to Anna especially for all the help with the organising and with the running of the day itself. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and everyone loved the day. Thanks again for making our big day so memorable.

We had our wedding at Acklam Hall this weekend and they were amazing! From the moment we booked they have been so helpful and really made us feel confident and relaxed! They even let us light sparklers outside! All of our guests have been commenting on how amazing the food was and how helpful all of the staff were. Everything was done beautifully so a huge thank you to everyone involved! Especially Carla and Helen who were always on hand for random last minute questions! Thanks again! �

We came yesterday for afternoon tea and had a lovely time. The food was delicious, the hall itself was a stunning setting to sit and relax in. I have to say, it was the staff that made the afternoon extra enjoyable. They couldn't do enough to help and were so polite and friendly. One of us was using a wheelchair and they couldn't have been more helpful with getting us to our seats. Highly recommend a visit and thank you to the lovely people who work here.

Visited here last year for my grandparents wedding anniversary, I couldn't of asked for better service and food, we have since returned and I often buy vouchers for family members here as I couldn't recommend it enough.

Also booked Christmas party night here, overall one of my favourite places for a treat with gorgeous surroundings.

Thank you to everyone who made our visit today so very special, afternoon tea for a friends 60th birthday, you made our day. Staff amazing and so professional, food was so well presented and tasted beautiful. AND the young man playing the guitar was just fabulous. xxx Thank you and see you again soon xx

My wife and I recently married here. We booked it over two years ago, when dust sheets were still down, on the image they built. Safe to say everything that the hall envisaged came to fruition in an extremely magical setting. Everyone of our guests thought the day was perfect. From the organization of events to the food provided, everything was to the highest class. A humongous thank you to every single member of staff who made us feel part of the Acklam Hall family from the very beginning. We will still be back for the fantastic nights, meals and events provided!

Lovely meal in an absolutely lovely setting. Food was exceptional. Service from Mgr Julie and server Laura outstanding. Had a personal tour by Julie thanks will be back. We loved it.

Just had our work Christmas night out here and the comments from our staff included “best food we’ve ever had at a Christmas do”, “whole setting was magical” and “best Christmas night out ever, was a bit reluctant at the price but it was worth every penny!”



Also discovered that the lovely events manager is related to and knows two of our fab bus drivers/escorts! I remember Cath and Margaret really well and their smiley faces are VERY missed!

Just had afternoon tea today as a surprise for my birthday. What a beautiful place you have. The food was amazing and the young lady who served us was so friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to revisit �

I have just been to celebrate my Daughters 30th Birthday.

We were greeted by a young waitress with a lovely smile who showed us to our seats . A high chair was provided for my 2 1/2 year old Grandson straight away. The two young waitresses were very chatty and very pleasant , talking to my Grandson and they took a group photo of us . The food arrived on time and I have to say it was the very BEST afternoon tea we have had ! The food and the service was outstanding and the building itself is absolutely stunning ! Hats off to all concerned , the birthday cake with candle and Happy Birthday written in chocolate was a lovely surprise, my daughter , myself and her Mother in law and of course my Grandson had a wonderful afternoon . Thank you so much , we will be coming back �

Had such a wonderful time today with my best friend for her birthday treat, the afternoon tea was fantastic. The young lady that served us is a credit to you, very attentive and so polite.

Had a fabulous 65th birthday at Acklam Hall with all the people I love most , arranged by my gorgeous daughter and executed to perfection by the lovely staff. Nothing is to much trouble. Highly recommended for any celebrations � I enjoyed it so much I took my workmates for a breakfast treat there on both occasions the service and food were excellent xxx I will be back soon , sure I can find a good excuse.

Been a few times now, lunch, tea and Sunday dinner and all equality impressive. Amazing food, great service, can’t wait for the next visit!

Attended murder mystery night tonight 27 October. Fantastic evening. Great food, fantastic staff and the greatest of fun. Looking forward to more evenings like this. Well done everyone. X

Absolutely stunning.�� Our daughter and her new husband got married here on 31st March and on behalf of ourselves and the parents of the groom, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the staff at Acklam Hall for making this occasion even more magical than we could ever have imagined.

The attention to detail was incredible, from helping with the planning to the day itself Julie, Anna ,Helen and all their staff were amazing. The day ran seamlessly and all our guests were truly impressed with this outstanding venue. A special mention must go to the chef and kitchen staff too. The food was delicious and to serve over 90 guests with a quality menu, which arrived with perfect timing & presentation (and hot) takes a very talented team.

Sadly the weather wasn’t on our side, but we didn’t notice it as this beautiful venue enabled us to take photos that will be treasured for ever.

Many many thanks again for helping to make the day so perfect. I know the happy couple and ourselves will be returning regularly.

Absolutely beautiful venue and setting for any occasion. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Acklam Hall.

My husband and I were passing Acklam Hall with our Granddaughter in her Pram and decided to call in for a coffee and Scone yesterday morning. We were made most welcome, excellent service, lovely coffee and very fresh scones. We have decided we must return for an evening meal having already experienced an excellent afternoon tea here earlier in the year. Love the atmosphere!

Food was lovely however we had two Children with us and seated right on the main walkway for staff with hot food. Staff placed boiling hot plate of veggies and then steaming coffee on the table right in front of a 12month old. Would recommend you bring a coat as it was freezing inside.

Visited here for afternoon tea recently. Not the best sandwiches tasteless. Cakes ok. Scones nice. Didn’t get a choice of tea as advertised, just one big pot between us. £19 to expensive for what we had. Staff who served us were friendly and polite. Won’t try here again as not impressed.
