Established in 1982, Acoline Softeners Ltd is a small local, family business that sells, maintains and repairs Water Softeners. The business was setup by the parents of Graham Wilkes.

From the age of 14, Graham helped his parents with the business at weekends and school holidays. He went to college for 3 years to do a City & Guilds Advanced Craft Plumbing course, became a fully qualified plumber and is a registered member of the Institute of Plumbing. As time went on he became more involved in the business side and when his parents retired 3 years ago, he took over the running of the company.

Angela Norris has been with the company for over four years and manages the day to day running of the office while Graham concentrates on sales and installations.

Living in hard water areas costs more than soft water areas. Limestone scale deposits build up inside water pipes and hot water cylinders making it more expensive to heat water. It also furs up the kettle, clogs up the iron and blocks the shower head. Hard water costs more in soaps, detergents and shampoos as it is harder to lather and clothes become dull and lose their bounce. All sales, installation and after sales care is carried out in house, and salt is delivered to your door, free of charge. Graham and Angela care about their customers and have built strong relationships with them over the years; Graham believes that this is the reason why the business has gone from strength to strength.
