We know Acorn is a safe haven for vegans, vegetarians and plant based eaters.
However we love the challenge of "omnivorous" magazine editors and especially when we turn: "I wasn’t exactly chomping at the bit to get in there..." into a fan!!

Words cannot explain how good this place is! The staff are attentive, the atmosphere is classy and food is stupendous! Definitely worth a visit.

We’ve just had a wonderful (vegan) lunch for my birthday today. The attentive and friendly staff are a delight, and there is a great selection of mostly vegan dishes from which to choose. I can’t wait to receive my copy of Plants Taste Better by Acorn’s chef/owner Richard Buckley so that I can take that step from vegetarian to vegan cooking!

Went there last night to celebrate my 40th birthday. As a vegan it's often quite limiting when eating out, but this place was fantastic and had loads of choice for me, including choices of desserts which was just heaven! My husband (who isn't a vegan) agreed it was one of the best meals he had ever had. Highly recommended and will definitely be back if we are in Bath again.

Went here last night for dinner. I told them it was for a birthday so they made sure we had the best table in the restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were fantastic! The food was delicious would highly recommend going to this restaurant.

Terrific food, on all courses, real love and thought had gone into the dishes. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff added to a great evening. We went with a guest who’d never eaten in a purely veggie place , who then polished off their food with relish - as did we all. Highly recommended

Savoured a delicious meal last night in this cosy, friendly gem. Jerusalem artichokes with delicate delightful flavours; wonderful donkey carrots (!) and fabulous salted chocolate tart. Oh and also recommend the mango Bellini - perfect combo. Thank you. Excellent again.

Overwhelmed by the service and food we received last night. Such elegant, creative dishes, all beautifully presented with perfect combinationations of ingredients. The staff were wonderful and allowed us to take our time. Unforgettable experience. We'll be back. Thank you, Acorn :) .

One of the best meals I've had in a very long time. I'm not a vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination but the food presentation and the staff were excellent.



An absolute taste explosion carried you into so many different places, it was then stepped up a level with the wine.



The flavours were just phenomenal. And will be definitely going back there again.

I've been twice in the last 3 years on different trips to Bath and both times the food and service was exceptional. Seriously inventive vegan food on offer, gorgeously fresh and rich all at the same time. Will definitely be back! Just wish we lived closer!

I'm neither vegetarian or vegan but visited the restaurant yesterday with my daughter and had what was possibly the nicest vegetarian / vegan meal I have ever had. It seems lovely that this type of food has developed so much from years ago. Compliments to the chef for producing such a lovely lunch which contributed to such a wonderful day out.

I think the five star rating i've given says it all really. I am loving the two cook books i bought there and will be delving in for some of their great recipes in the future, though that's not the same as visiting Acorn Vegetarian Kitchen, enjoying the ambience of the place and the exceptionally friendly and excellent service within.

I asked finally for a coffee and could the milk be warm,it came to table and was just warm, this was fine but my daughter asked me if it was hot, i said it was just warm...The gentleman who served me thought i/we were not happy, he was wrong, but within a short time i was presented with a new coffee and some hot milk....we hadn't made a complaint as everything was fine. The fact that he heard us and decided to replace my coffee and milk just shows how attentive the staff are......absolutely no complaints about my first, but not last eating experience there!

I have to say this is one of the best meals out I have had in a long time. My friend and I were recommended this restaurant not knowing what to expect. We just turned up and were lucky enough to be given as table as we were early in the evening.



From the moment we walked through the door, the staff were warm and welcoming.



The food was phenomenal and wine top quality. Who would have thought of serving a slice of cucumber as an amuse bouche? But they carried it off perfectly!!



Needless to say I bought the book and already enjoying reading it.



Thank you so much for an amazing dining experience. Will certainly be back next time I am in the area. xx

Had an amazing vegan meal here last night. Such tasty food and filling too without being heavy. The service was brilliant; attentive and friendly staff. Very impressed!

Delightful menu, lovely staff and thank you for the taste of the beetroot ice cream. The wine matching menu is a great idea. Next time we are in Bath we will book again!

An absolutely wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The staff are lovely , the wine was superb and the food ... well put it this way it's now my new favourite place to dine in Bath - excellent!! �

Absolutely loved our set lunch course today. All beautiful and all vegan! Yay. The waitress was absolutely lovely too which always makes it a 5 star experience. We will be back! �

Outstanding food! I would give this place 5 out of 5 for the food, but unfortunately the staff detracted from the experience. They seated us in the tiny reception room next to their desk where they may as well have been sitting at the table with us. The waiters seemed to be more focused on each other than the experience of their customers.

I absolutely loved the food, it was sublime. The reason I didn't give full stars is because after a three course meal I left the restaurant hungry. I'm a size 8, so not a big person to fill.
