About Acquolina In Bocca
All day Italian dining in the heart of Egham, Surrey
Acquolina In Bocca Description
It was the end of the 1800s in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Because of a lack of fine-dining and hospitality in the area, guests began travelling from miles around to stay at the Beccaceci family hotel in Giulianova. A generation later in 1922 Pasquale Beccaceci’s son Andrea married Anna Sabalini, and shortly afterwards they opened, near the railway station, the first bar /restaurant in the area. After several changes of address the family (now with several more children) settled at 28 Via Zola and their fish cuisine’s excellent reputation spread throughout the region. The family have always worked hard to perfect and improve their menu through many generations, Andrea Beccaceci (the current Andrea) trained with his mother and father as a boy. He is responsible for the mouthwatering selection of dishes you are presented with today at Acquolina in Bocca

Went for breakfast with my partner, amazing food, atmosphere, staff and decor.
Such reasonable prices!
Coffee was beautiful, why go to Costa or cafe Nero when we are lucky enough to have this on the high street.
Can’t believe this place is in Egham.
We can’t wait to go for dinner!!
Very nice, authentic pasta and pizza.. Good service, a nice place to be..
Very authentic Italian food, and very delicious. Staff were helpful and friendly and got their fault we were invaded by a screaming school group of young children that ran around all the time. There was a closed room, they should have been put in there! Otherwise highly recommended.
Superb service and fantastic food. Great staff.
Popped in last night for a quick impromptu midweek dinner. As others have commented , menu is not extensive, but served its purpose for us. We both ordered pizza, which was delicious, sour dough bread, a nice change from the chain pizza restaurants.
Deco is lovely, nice and light, totally redecorated so doesn’t resemble the previous establishment.
Staff pleasant and accommodating too.
Overall, a lovely inexpensive mid week meal, we will be back.
I went for a midweek dinner. Delicious pizza, great wine, lovely service, excellent value.
It was so good we went in for brunch two days later.
Without being too gushy, it was honestly the best brunch we had ever had.
The menu may be small but everything is fresh and authentic Italian.
You must go, you won’t be disappointed!
I tried it here for the first time today with my 5 years old boy and we loved everything about it! The pizza my son ordered was just yummy and my black ink spaghetti with cherry tomatoes, burrata and anchovies was the bee's knees!!
We had a friendly welcome, a nice chat with the manager and the staff (all kind and smiling people), a complimentary freshly baked bread to take home and a free main course voucher for next time!! The bill was reasonable and the coffee was on the house!!!
Good food, price ok, nice atmosphere: it doesn't get better than that.
Had lunch here and could not fault it food wine and service great and we found it really reasonably priced
Had a great breakfast here this morning, lovely food, good service and great modern restaurant.
Great pasta and pizza. Kind staff and very nicely decorated on the inside, with lots of space. Good for kids too, as my son got crayons to colour while waiting for food. We will definitely be back.
Food was awesome, not bland at all (as someone suggested) - proper Italian, fresh ingredients. Very reasonable too
Fabulous food, great atmosphere and loved the Jazz music. Try the Pistacchio ice cream, it is divine. Definitely recommend. Was there for our son's Graduation Celebration.
Excellent Italian food at great prices.
Attentive staff and the owners are lovely people. Catered for my girlfriends dietary requirements with gluten free pasta which is a breath of fresh air as its so hard finding places to eat that cater for her. The atmosphere and decor is lovely.
I highly recommend.
Delicious pizza and attentive service. Too quiet for Saturday lunch - more should walk in. Keep this gem open!
I had the Pizza Vesuvio - yummy yellow tomatoes, capers and tallegio. Husband had today’s special pizza w/ sausage & fresh mozzarella. No soggy crust in the middle of the pizzas - well done.
Nice decor.
Nice
Attentive and quick service, good portion sizes and packed with flavour- don't be put off by the small menu, that just means they are focusing on what they are good at. If you want a bigger menu, go grab the microwaved food from any of the chain restaurants elsewhere in the area. 3 courses, none disappointing, and all at fantastic value- definitely a little gem
A beautiful space to enjoy authentic, fresh, tasty food. Staff are always beyond welcoming, and accommodating to fussy customers like myself.. the kitchen is visible so you can see how fresh the food is, and it’s obvious in the taste. Nothing greasy or inauthentic here, just delicious Italian pizzas, salads, pasta. Recommend 100x
We sat outside at the back; a very pleasant experience. Food was very good and the set menu is reasonably priced.
Food was very good, small but good menu the reason for 4 stars there is no children's menu and when we asked for a smaller portion of pasta for my 7yr old was told no don't cater for that. Otherwise very good
Restricted menu. Wine very good. Mains tasted very bland. Unlikely to return as better restaurants in town. But wish them well. Recommend you to go and try it as in the end all down to personal taste.
