What a lovely Taverna. This encapsulates a typical Greek Restaurant, lovely atmosphere and a great choice within its menu. The staff also will help or guide you to a choice should you desire it. Definately will go again.

Went with friends last night. A very welcome new restaurant for Headington. The food was absolutely delicious and will definitely be returning . I highly recommend it.

Tired and weary after a long weekend course, we took our friends to the Acropolis Greek Taverna on Sunday night. The welcome was lovely as we crawled in. Soon we were eating a most splendid meal. All the meat dishes were falling off the bone, they were so beautifully cooked. All ingredients were fresh, and the taramasalata was so good even my husband had some - and he is notoriously picky. Our meal revived us entirely. It is a good place to eat if you want a small snack or a banquet. Ambiance was warm and friendly. I would have put a review on Trip Advisor but I cannot find how to list a new restaurant. We highly recommend this taverna and will be taking all our business meetings and monthly gathering of students here. Thank you!

Visited for the first time today, very nice, authentic food. Fair prices for portions,especially at lunch time.

We were the only customers during our visit but we didn't feel uncomfortable. Staff were available but gave us space.

The decor is authentic but modern enough and the toilets are clean and pleasant. I didn't see a disabled accessible toilet though so if you need one do check before booking.

I had chicken souvlaki, which was the nicest I've had since Greece.

I think the Acropolis is a great addition to Oxford and based on my first visit, I would not hesitate to recommend it and will go back.
