Kevin was spot on. They are Pneumatophores, specialised roots growing upwards to get the oxygen they need. They are like snorkels for the tree! They are particular to Swamp Cypress trees. I’ll stop now before it gets boring!🤣. Some great answers and a bit of fun. Cheers.
