Action For Deafness

Action for Deafness is a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee. The organisation was founded, as a charity, in 1994 by deaf people and for deaf people in Sussex.

Action for Deafness is a charitable organisation offering a full range of services to Deaf and hard of hearing people.
NHS Audiology Services are available via GP referral including Hearing tests, Hearing aids, batteries re- tubing and aftercare.
Advice, support and information is available in the Resource Centres in Haywards Heath and Worthing, in outreach clinics and via this website.
A full range of Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) is available for demonstration and purchase from the centres in Haywards Heath and Worthing.

The organisation works with many other local and national organisations including the NHS with which it has a contract to provide audiology services including hearing aids, hearing tests and aftercare.

We are continually developing and strengthening our services and this page is just one way of making our services accessible to all.
