We promote a range of activities targeting people with disabilities and health conditions to take part in physical activity at the level of their choice.

Active & Inclusive Swindon - Disability Sport Description
We are committed to increasing participation in sport at all levels and work to promote equality of opportunity for people with physical and learning disabilities to take part in and enjoy sport and physical activity at a level of their choice.
We will do this by creating new opportunities that meet the needs of disabled people, increasing the number who are mainstreamed in current provision and increasing the number who join sports clubs.

Good morning everyone, it’s a very wet Friday but we will not let that dampen our spirits! Here is a clip of Sam’s warm up from today’s seated class with the new Mayor joining in..... class is suitable for everyone of any age or ability....

💃 1-2pm Seated Exercise (Zumba Gold) at Better, Link Centre - Swindon £2.50 ages 12+ with parent/ guardian. Suitable for everyone.
External club sessions:
🥊 10-11am inclusive Boxing at Scrappers boxing gym ages 16+
🏀 4.30-7pm Wheelchair basketball at Swindon Shock Wheelchair Basketball

What a great night at Champions, thanks to Sam for a fab Boccia session. you all loved throwing balls at both Sam and Liam. Happy birthday to James too, we all hope you had a fantastic day 🥳🥳 Next week we have the boys from Innov8 Sportz C.I.C. So we will see you all next week.

Least we forget - such a poignant day today... but we still have a busy one.... sessions are:
🥇 9.30-10.15am Athletics at the county ground athletics track. Ages 16+ free session. Please remember to park in Tescos and walk through to the track.
... 🤸♀️ 12.15-2pm Trampolining at Haydon Centre and Gym ages 16+ £2.50 (please remember they have gone cashless!) Hoist & rebounding available.
🚴♀️ 1-2pm Cycling at the Athletics track, ages 16+ £3. Please remember to park in Tescos and walk through to the track.
⚾️ 4.30-5.30pm Boccia at Dorcan Recreation Complex Any age welcome £2 per person. If it is warm, Sam May do the session outside again. Sam & Liam will decide when they arrive.
🏆 6.30-8pm Swindon Champions ay Dorcan. Tonight Sam is doing Boccia with you all. Again if it’s warm they may do it outside!

Sam is taking part in this zumbathon that is hosted by her friend Natasha, they are raising money for The Open Door Centre (Swindon & District)who are now relying on Fundraising to stay open. Open to anyone, can be done stood up or sat down. Aged 5+ (parents to stay!) More information can be found on the event page below, but if you are unable to go, please share so it spreads the word. Most of these guys attend our sessions and such a worthwhile cause...

Both Sams are at today’s volunteering event in town, in the Brunel centre next to Buzz Gym. Have you got a hour or 2 a week you could give to assist our coaches at our sessions? Are you aged 16 or over? If you would like to talk to our coaches then today is ideal chance to meet & talk with them directly. Sam is doing a seated Zumba demo at 2pm! 🥳🥳💃💃

... 🤸♀️ 1-3pm Inclusive Bounce at Better Trampoline Park - Swindon any age welcome. £2.50 Please remember to watch the safety video before you get on the trampolines. Accessible entrance next to the lift in reception.
🥇 4.45-5.45pm Athletics at the county ground athletics track, ages 7-16. Free session. With Sam W tonight.
External Session...
💃 7.35-8.25pm Clubbercise with Sam (InclusFit) at crossways suite, Moonrakers pub! Free parking. Ages 13+ with parent/ guardian. Please note this is a standard community fitness class where Sam’s includes everyone equally. If Sam has started please speak to her at the end.
