Active Start

Active Start is a programme, developed through years of practical experience and backed by research. Active Start is a movement to help children develop the physical skills to explore the world around them and maximise opportunities. Active Start has been built across a number of organisations and in partnership with many providers, both public and private, in the early years sector. After a decade of delivery, research and evaluation Active Start Training Programme is now delivered in a condensed 3 hr workshop, that has been peer reviewed and evaluated by the University of Bristol. The review shows that the 3 hr workshop has a big impact on the delivery of physical activity and physical literacy opportunities in a early years setting. Active Start workshop is free. Now funded by our commercial activities the training is completely funded.
