We all have great ambition and motivation to achieve what we set out to achieve. ⁣ ⁣ However, sometimes life does get in the way and when this happens don’t overthink it and get overwhelmed! ⁣ ⁣ We all have super busy and hectic days where we can’t fit a workout in and thats fine! We all have them so chill out! ⁣... ⁣ It is how we respond to them that will dictate the level of results that we will get.⁣ ⁣ Ultimately, 1 missed workout is not going to make any difference as long as you get right back on track the next day/week. ⁣ ⁣ It happens to us all from time to time and in a few days/weeks time of getting back into your routine you will have completed forgotten all of those guilty/frustrated feelings that you may wrongly feel from missing a couple of workouts. ⁣ ⁣ So why worry about them now?⁣ ⁣ You know what to do! Don’t stress it can make sure you get back on the band wagon the day after!⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #cambridgepersonaltrainer #fitnessfreak #personaldevelopment #activelife #coach #exercise #exercisemotivation #workout #workout👍 #gym #personaltrainer #fitness #fitnesslifestyle #fitnesslife #fatloss #slimmingworld #weightwatchers #howtoloseweight #howtolosefat

If there is something that you are putting off that you know you should do then you MUST do it. ⁣ ⁣ Everything that you want is on the other side of fear. ⁣ ⁣ If you are not happy with some area of your life then I can almost guarantee that you are staying in your comfort zone.⁣... ⁣ If you stay there then you will stay the same and nothing will change. This is particularly relevant for those of you who are not happy in their own skin! ⁣ ⁣ Whats the worst that can happen? Don’t be afraid to fail, we all do it and you always learn something from it. The only way it is bad is when you don’t get up from it and never try again.⁣ Keep going, fail a lot, learn, fail more and then succeed! ⁣ ⁣ Go where the fear is…it grows you!⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣#fatlosshelp #fitnessmotivation #fitness #fitnessfreak #goals #inspiration #instagood #gym #exercise #habits #howtolosefat #weightlossjourney #weightloss #cambridgepersonaltrainer #personaltrainer #fitnesslifestyle #fitnesslife

Stop thinking about simply moving a weight from point A to point B. ⁣ ⁣ There is so much more going on and if you want to accelerate your progress and maximise your potential then then you need to start ⁣applying internal cues. ⁣ The issue is most people just think about the external - “I need to push this weight away from my chest”.⁣... ⁣ While this is great, are you properly activating the right muscles? How is your breathing mechanics? Time under tension? ⁣ ⁣ This is just to name a few but you get the idea! Having an internal focus allows us to innervate the correct muscles/groups so that we can get the most out of exercises. ⁣ ⁣ Slinging weights around in the gym is never going to be an optimal way to train!⁣ ⁣ Instead, learn how the target muscle works, think about contracting it prior to even moving the weight and try to keep constant tension on that muscle. ⁣ ⁣ For example, think about driving from your heels at the bottom of a squat, driving your elbows across your chest in a bench press.⁣ ⁣ If you are taking the time to hit the gym and change your body, why not do it in the smartest and most effective way? ⁣ ⁣ If you would like my help then feel free to drop me a DM! ⁣

Don’t overthink it. We have all failed at stuff. After all, if you never fail at anything then you have never tried anything new. # No one was a superstar immediately. Look at anyone who has “made it” and the only reason they are where they are is because they have had more f**k ups than the rest of us and still kept going! # Michael Jordan was cut from his college basketball team ... # J.K Rawlings Harry Potter was rejected by 8 publishers # Albert Einstein could not speak fluently until he was 9 (read that one again) # ‪The Beatles were told they would never make it and that “guitar band were on the way out”‬ # Imagine if those guys had stopped at the first sign of failure? # Don’t let your failures define you, we have all done them and are actually necessary for growth. Keep going, fail more, fail better and then succeed!

My 3 Biggest lessons so far in 2018 # 1. Go where the fear is!! Whatever you are thinking of doing but not doing because you are fearful of what other people think or you feel guilty just do it!! This will grow you. How else to you expect to become successful? # 2. Push the boundaries of what you think is possible. I had a lot of negative beliefs about myself for years and this massively held me back in every area of my life. ... # 3. You will never please everyone and not everyone will like you. I have been massively guilty of this in the past and being a people pleaser and wanting everyone to like me. Trust me, this kind of thinking gets you no where as there will always be people that don’t like you. Who cares? There will be enough people out there that resonate with you and your mission so double down on focusing on them and f**ck everyone else! # I used to look at things that scared the shit out of me and I would tell myself that I couldn’t do them. This was my ego holding me back and now I force myself to do them and push myself out of my comfort zone. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I don’t. So what? Failure is actually great as it gives you something actionable that you can change and then you can get better. # 90% of the stuff in life doesn’t matter. Sounds weird saying it, but if you think of what you are worrying about right now in 2 years time you will have forgotten all about it. So why bother giving it your energy now? # Have an awesome Sunday guys 👊

GOALS FOR THIS TIME NEXT YEAR: # It’s always important in any business to have goals to keep yourself accountable to. It is also equally important to always look at the long game as if you get caught up in the short game you can get demotivated and uninspired by how far you have to go. # I have got a long way to go but I am driven to make AD Fitness a thriving personal training business that helps each and every one of my clients become the healthiest, strongest and best look...ing version of themselves. # In a years time I aim to have opened my doors to take on a limited number of online clients which I am very excited about. I also hope to have developed a number of downloadable digital products which will be based around helping people to lose weight and giving them their confidence back. # I am absolutely focused on brining as much value as possible to my followers so stay tuned for what is to come! # In order to achieve my goals I will have to continue to push myself outside of my comfort zone, focus on the most important daily tasks without focusing on how far I have to go, say no to certain things that I do not value, master my emotions and learn to take criticism and feedback as a mechanism to grow. (This is something that I tell all of my clients to do as well!!) # If you would like to be part of my mission then drop me a DM, I would love to help you!

JOE WICKS 🤔🤔 # A lot of hate out for this guy at the moment within the fitness industry. # He recently said that a calorie deficit was not important when he has claimed for years that we shouldn’t bother counting calories. ... # Ultimately, yes a calorie deficit is important but it is my belief that his popularity has been based around the simple, fun and engaging manner of his content and this inspires people to be more active and health conscious. # You will all have heard about him and maybe tried a few of his recipes (they’re great!) and the guy only means well and anyone who is encouraging people to get fitter in an age where obesity and chronic diseases are at their highest gets my vote. # No one is perfect, not even joe wicks!! There is a lot of jealousy especially from those within the fitness industry for the success he has had and hence why when this small thing comes out everyone rushes to get on the band wagon to condemn him. # Personally, I take a lot of inspiration from this guy and I think he has done a heck of a lot in the fitness industry in the U.K. # Comment below if you agree! 🙌

HOW TO STAY LEAN DURING THE WORLD CUP ⚽️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 # 🥅 If you know you are going to be watching a game one night then try to consciously eat less during the day or the day before to create a “calorie sink” to make room for your drinks # 🥅 Eat mostly veggies and protein during the day and limit you carb intake... # 🥅 Try and avoid the salty snacks at the bar!! Although they taste great, they dehydrate you which ramps up your thirst for another pint! Not only will this mean an increase in what you consume but your wallet will also take an unwanted hit! (you can thank me later) # 🥅 Although pints are often the order of the day - consider having a lower calorie option such as a single spirit and mixer. This will save you a STUPID amount of calories. Even if you sub out just one pint for a lower calorie option you will still save yourself on average 150 calories! (every little helps) # 🥅 If you are on a fat loss journey don’t feel you have to punish yourself the next day with a gruelling workout! Or on the other spectrum throw off all the wheels to your diet. I always want my clients to enjoy social occasions as we are losing weight. If you deviate from your health plan with a few beers or whatever then thats fine, just make sure you get straight back on the band wagon the next meal. Try and not have 2 unhealthy meals in a row!! # 🥅 Final point: the world cup only comes around every 4 years so most of all enjoy it!! Just remember that it is possible to still be congruent with your weight loss goals and STILL enjoy it equally as much. # COME ON ENGLAND!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I used to see my body in a negative light. I was always afraid to take my top off and actually used to dread going to the beach/pool because I knew I was going to have to go shirtless! [⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀] This gave me a lot of anxiety and knocked my confidence big time. I also used to constantly compare my body to others and began to associate my self worth with my body (big mistake!!). [⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀] I didn’t realise it at the time but the fact that I wasn’t happy with how I looked m...assively affected me in all other areas of my life and ultimately I hated myself! [⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀] I was afraid to get out of my comfort zone, followed the crowd, lacked confidence in social situations and didn’t act true to myself and my values because I was scared what other people would think of me. [⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀] Thankfully, this has now changed. I have now learnt to massively respect my body, health and positive self talk. Going to the gym, eating a healthy diet and working on my mindset has completely changed how I look at myself and I’m almost a completely new person than to who I was before! [⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀] I use these exact processes when coaching every one of my clients so that they can go away with life changing results. I am yet to see a change in body shape without an accompanying change in confidence and self esteem. Change is possible, don’t look at how far you have to go just start implementing positive habits day in and day out that will lead to sustainable change. Do this and I guarantee that you will surprise yourself with what you can achieve!!
