About Ada.Ngo

Road traffic injuries are now the leading cause of death for children and young adults aged 5–29 years. ADA's mission is ensure Artificial Intelligence innovations eliminate this global epidemic. As a non-profit, open alliance, ADA is committed to accelerating the development and adoption of trusted human-centric artificial intelligence, whilst ensuring it's safe, ethical and equitable deployment on our global roads. ADA is committed to the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the Safe System approach to road safety, advocated by the World Health Organisation, and in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Public trust is essential for Artificial Intelligence (AI) to be adopted as our chauffeur, co-driver, guardian or instructor. That's why ADA is collaborating with governments, NGOs, academia, industry and standards bodies to harmonise, international accepted, driving performance and behavior thresholds for AI systems. Something we refer to as the ADA Turing Test for AI Systems on our roads. Yet when 93% of the world's fatalities occur on the roads in low- and middle-income countries it's clear self-driving systems alone are not a solution. It's clear that the deployment of globally scalable, low-cost AI Safety Systems are essential to address the road fatalities occurring in low and middle-income countries. Accelerating cutting edge AI research and innovation is essential, so ADA is committed to creating motorsport competition designed specifically to advance the state-of-the-art in the areas that will impact global road safety most rapidly. Why? Simply because the road traffic injuries, caused by our current mobility solutions, are now the leading cause of death for children and young adults aged 5–29 years.
