NEW IN! Farina di Ceci - Chickpea Flour! Chickpea flour is a pulse flour made from a variety of ground chickpea known as Bengal gram. It's a staple ingredient in the Indian Subcontinent cuisine including in Indian, Bangladeshi, Burmese, Nepali, Pakistani and Sri Lankan cuisines.
RECIPE - Farinata ... Ingredients - 350g Chickpea flour - 1 litre of water - 1/2 glass of extra virgin olive oil - salt and pepper
Method - Mix flour and water in a bowl; whisk until batter is smooth. Cover bowl with a plate and let stand at room temperature 4/5 hours (maximum 10 hours) - Pre heat oven to 500 degrees F, 260 degrees C - Use a slotted spoon to remove the foam from the surface of the batter and then mix in salt and pepper and half the oil then use the other half to oil the pans - Pour the batter into the pans the bake the farinata for 20 minutes until firm and golden. Slice it up and serve it hot
