On the bench this morning we have some poorly Marshall headphones. Will these beauties sing again? I'm sure they will!!

Wow what a day so far. Got a new IT maintenance contract and witnessed an RTC, luckily dashcam was running so I stopped and am giving footage to the victim. No-one hurt thankfully but a shocking bit of driving!!!

Seems HP doesn't like me slagging off their build techniques, as I can't post any updates!
Anyways, here's the new keyboard, installed and working perfectly of course.
Hrmmm HP....more like Apple every day!!!

Thankyou HP for ruining engineer's lives. For making a system (Spectre Pro 13) where a simple keyboard change becomes a three-hour system strip-down and rebuild, including over FIFTY screws.
Thankyou HP for screwing up our charges, as a keyboard change now becomes MORE DIFFICULT and time consuming than replacing any other component in the system.
... Thankyou HP, for becoming more like Apple every year.

I am pleased to be able to offer a PAT (portable appliance testing) service to both homes and small businesses.
This will involve checking the electrical safety of your appliances, as well as a thorough visual check on cables, along with checking the correct fuse is fitted. Old kettle? Toaster? Lamp? I will check it's safe to use.
If there are any problems, I will of course log them, and rectify. You will receive a printed report of appliances tested and any work done.
... I will also check the correct wiring and earthing of all sockets. I will ensure your safety!!

Catching up on the workload! This poorly yet lovely Bang & Olufsen Beolab 8000 needed some TLC....B&O's insulation had eaten through two tracks feeding the main power relay to the amp module!!
The power indicator LED was still glowing though, so several red-herrings and some bridging wires onto the PCB later, she's singing sweetly again!
Board-level repairs, I love 'em 😁

I've verified this, please made sure you update Chrome/Opera on whatever device you use, and give it a cheeky reboot afterwards for good measure x

Little project completed for a dear client of mine...converted a candle holder into a lamp, and she even trusted me to choose the shade!!

I shall be doing my own bit of aerospace engineering today, repairing a client's Phantom 3, which sadly DIDN'T have such a controlled landing back to Terra Firma!!!
