Adele Francesca Performance Academy

I've been in London the last few days and attended a few dance classes. It's been an experience being taught by different teachers. Some have been really patient and professional whilst others have rushed through choreography and really don't know the meaning of taking their time wIth students to learn and develop the steps, welcoming their students and praising their students. There was one class where the teacher taught a routine (shown below) and though it was fast and in...tricate, she made the students understand the meaning behind the movement which is why it was able to be executed so well! I loved it!
I really value each one of my students and have realised I never just dance and forget who's behind me. I take my time to make sure everyone gets something from my classes and feel a possitive vibe. That's what a teacher is and I know I'm doing my job right.

Adele Francesca Performance Academy otherwise known as “AFPA” is a popular Performing Arts school located in Derby City Centre. The Academy was established in 2014 by Adele Ogiste, a BA (Hons.) graduate in Performing Arts, who has performed as a professional Dancer and Actress in the West End, London. The Academy offers a range of classes suitable for all ages and abilities with Street Dance being AFPA’s most popular dance style. The Academy also provides; Contemporary Dance, Afrobeats, Jazz, Musical Theatre and Singing lessons. In Musical Theatre students enter LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) Graded Examinations annually, enabling them to develop interpretive and technical skills with knowledge of performance processes. AFPA is home to BDO Street Dance Championships winners, achieving 1st place from 2015-18! Each year selected students enter this accredited regional event, competing alongside the best dancers in the industry.
AFPA stages an annual high quality performance for family, friends and members of the public. These sell-out shows are held at renowned theatres around Derbyshire and demonstrate a thrilling mix of dance styles showcasing talents from the students across the East Midlands.
