I went to the small but perfectly formed Folk in a Field yesterday in West Acre. It is delightful.. set in beautiful woodland. I even borrowed someone else's guitar ( which I promptly dropped!!) and played at the Open Mic stage in the woods, along with some other excellent performers..including Penni Mclaren Walker who sang and played beautifully. Apart from the mosquitoes everything was ace!

I'm playing at Jurnet's Bar tomorrow night - Wednesday 27th June - a folk-acoustic evening with several acts including Joey Herzfeld (intelligent well crafted songs) and Monkiboy. Always a good time to be had and lovely for the musicians coz people listen. Starts around 8 pm. Free entry and cheap bar!

I'm playing at Platform 12 on Benedict Street tonight if anyone is free to come down - it'll be a mix of artists, usually all excellent.. and starts around 7.30 pm. come on down.

I've been out of action through this bleak winter.. but now playing again, starting with Jurnets Bar this Friday 23rd. come on down. x

I will be going down to Platform 12 this Wednesday and playing a short set... do come along - should be a great evening. x

a funny thing happened on the way to the Forum... yes, seriously.. I ran into Shane, local musician and gig organiser.. and now I'm playing at Jurnets tomorrow evening... it starts around 8pm!

What could be better after a busy bank holiday weekend than relaxing with a drink in the early evening and being entertained by some wonderful musicians! This is an innovative triple bill, involving myself (solo), The Happy couple (duo) and Joey Herzfeld Trio ( a trio obviously)... all class acts £5 on the door.

Have this gig coming up with great line up on May Day...

This is a great song and video. I have a soft spot for Eliza, not least coz her dad wrote the wonderful "Bare Necessities of Life" in Jungle Book :)

Dear Fans Just thought I'd let you know what's going on in my world.. and say hello! I recently moved from one side of England to the other, from the south west to the north east. It's been quite a change - and definitely colder here, but the natives are friendly and it has a lively music scene. I have also started on recording the next CD.. and hoping this will come together in the next couple of months.

This Friday I will be playing at the wonderful Jurnet's Bar in Norwich... come along... :)

This was me making my first musical outing in Norwich - lovely evening at Platform 12!

I saw Steve Tilston last night.. he's a wonderful songwriter, fabulous guitarist and lovely singer - this is just a taste... x

I'm now exploring the music scene in Norwich, my new home, and a fine city! So far have found a lovely couple called Joe4Mary - country-ish!
