About Adlibrio

The classical Billy Bunter books have delighted audiences for generations, with tales of Bunter's hilarious exploits at Greyfriars school. Nobody expected the schoolboy Bunter to reach adulthood, but now, for the first time, we can meet the slothful schoolboy in his prime. Any resemblance to past Prime Ministers, alive or dead in a ditch, is purely coincidental. Adlibrio plans to bring you the movie of Bunter's disastrous Brexit project, featuring the notorious Brexit bus, the lies, the scandals and the intrigue – and we're relying on your help to produce it. You can participate in many ways – donate to appear in the credits, bid for NFTs – or even get to audition as a member of the cast. Bunter uses his natural guile and cunning to be selected for a safe seat in the fictional jurisdiction of Mornington Borough, where he employs the phenomenon of Brexit to promote his fiercely patriotic agenda, and becomes elected as the new leader of the Conservative Party. William George Bunter (Billy Bunter) was a schoolboy who attended the fictional Greyfriars boarding school, invented by the writer Charles Hamilton, writing under the pen name Frank Richards from 1908. Bunter was obese, greedy, lazy and dishonest. The perfect anti-hero. Millions of children delighted in his exploits which were serialised in the now defunct ‘Magnet' magazine, and later became books in their own right. A recurring theme is that Bunter suffers a perennial shortage of cash and is forever attempting to borrow money from his schoolfellows, explaining that he is expecting a postal order from one of his "titled relations". Naturally, Bunter has every intention of paying back the money he has borrowed, but those debts haunt him throughout his time at Greyfriars.
