@samuel.parsons main goal was to add mass. From left to right we’ve managed to add 5kg and lose some body fat. This was over a period of 8 months. If you are someone who has given it a good go at trying to put some muscle on you’ll know how hard it is and appreciate how well Sam has done. More to come this year...

Feeling lucky to have a job surrounded by so many good people. A lot of my client base have stuck with me for at least few years, which has allowed me to get to know them well on a personal level. I know I’ve mentioned this kind of thing before but understanding a client and how they are feeling plays in to your decision making as a coach.
Knowing whether they are on a roll with their training - where you can push them hard in sessions or the opposite where they are going through a bad patch and need a lot of encouragement and perhaps a bit of scaling back with the training intensity.
Having a short term and long term plan for sessions, and then being flexible with any situations that arise is definitely a skill set I’ve improved on as I’ve got more experienced.

Client progress check this morning. Two kgs increase in weight over the 12 months, and you can see he has lost body fat. In which case the true muscle gain would probably be in the region of 3-5kgs.

Coach @larrie_lang demonstrating some push combos. Being able to do a perfect press up is a goal for a lot of our clients. Using bands, raised platforms and accessory exercises are all tools to get to that point.

As a lot of you know by now I’m still out of action for a little while longer, thanks for your patience!
The superb trainers Larrie + Marta are rocking and rolling as usual though. If you are interested in making fitness a priority of yours this year and like the idea of being able to train in a private space with highly skilled trainers, then we could be a good fit for you!

A transformation I’m delighted to have been involved with. Great guy who by his own admission was never really into sports or fitness and is now becoming a baddddassss in the gym. Key features have been two weekly strength sessions where we have made huge gains, and a weekly step count average consistently above 12k and often above 15k. Over 20kg difference between the photos. 👌💪
