Gilly the 7 month old Black Russian Terrier has arrived for a 6 week residential stay to work on nervousness towards people. Her trainer will be working on building her confidence, building trust in her handler, and teaching her all of the obedience cues so that her owner has more control and focus.

... "When we first looked at training with Adolescent Dog, we were a little unsure of just how effective the training would be, but on Arnie's return back to us after a 2 week stay, we are delighted with the results!
On initial interest, the person we spoke to was so helpful and responsive with providing us with trainer availability and also recommending and matching the trainer's experience in line with our breed & needs. We were drawn to a senior trainer, after reviewing her experience with other French Bulldogs, we were also able to take advantage of a discount offer.
We are delighted with the training and love that Arnie received during his stay with Libby She made an instant connection with him on handover which was very reassuring for us, given we hadn’t met before! Also, spending an hour on the initial handover walking around and having her answer our questions was great, it was evident how experienced she was and she picked up on a lot of Arnie’s ‘traits’ very quickly so we left knowing he was in good hands.
We missed him lots during the 2 weeks, but the trainer kept us updated throughout his stay with daily Whats App pictures and videos and also the Facebook and Weekly email updates with detailed progress on the areas being worked on. After the end of the 2 week period, it was evident just how much work Libby had put in and also how much he enjoys training and it’s been an easy job to keep it up. His face lights up every time he sees the treat bag!
Libby has continued to stay in touch and we have had further help with some other areas which has been great.
Arnie is now a much calmer dog and more rounded in the areas we wanted to improve upon even after just 2 weeks. We are so proud of him and are equally committed as owners to continue his training, which we are fully equipped and supported to do by the trainer, the training materials and online tools we’ve received and the aftercare training available to us. We can contact the trainer at any time and she will be responsive in providing tips and ideas to help us with our sticking points as we continue training.
Taking Arnie out for a walk used to be quite a stressful experience as we couldn’t predict how he would behave, but since his training, we have enjoyed every walk and are delighted with how far he’s come. If only we knew, we would have signed up sooner!"
