Awesome day yesterday at Facebook HQ in London...
In was a pleasure to be invited to a closed Mastermind with Facebook in London.
As one of only 15 people given the opportunity to learn what Facebook is looking for from their advertisers, to say it was insightful is an understatement.
... The biggest takeaway for us as an agency and what EVERY BUSINESS advertising on Facebook needs to deploy is the use of Videos and Instagram stories.
Whether you are B2B, B2C, e-commerce, service-based, consultancy... whatever you do and whoever you service you NEED to be using video.
There are hundreds of tools at your disposal to create awesome videos - 99% of us have a smartphone, this is the No1 tool for starting, then there are countless apps to add text overlay, design elements etc ...Here are a few we use:

The list goes on, use stop motion on Instagram to create amazing effects that are guaranteed to attract your audience.
I'm going to say this again... Use Instagram Stories & I repeat, USE INSTAGRAM STORIES!!!!!
Frame your video 1:1 or 9:16
Your main message needs to be delivered in the first 3-5 seconds.
The overall length - up to 15 seconds.
Include a CTA (call to action on EVERY video)
The key to videos and ALL advertising is to test, test and test again.
Also videos do NOT need to be video, what do I mean, use existing assets such as images, stitch them together add a text overlay and just like magic you have a video - the video below is a few pictures I took at FB HQ and stitched them together automatically (no tech skills needed).

Facebook is rewarding engagement on ads/posts, they are placing a heavy emphasis on this, what does this mean if you're going after a cold audience, or indeed a warm audience your ads will perform better if there is a high level of engagement.
There's a couple of BIG hints for you, literally straight from the horse's mouth so to speak.
As an agency, we are without a doubt going to be pushing hard on Instagram stories and videos now, not just for clients but for our own business.

Facebook announce big changes to organic reach of newsfeed posts - will this affect your business?? They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery... Gotta love it when a competitor uses our EXACT advert copy, uses an image that is virtually the same - but gets zero results - go figure!!

Smart marketing is about being helpful, not hypey!

Loving the fact someone (maybe a competitor) who has never spoken, or enquired about our services has given us a 1 star review - what a waste of their time! Oh well :)

Nice problem to have:
You have done too well !!! We are completely drowning and can't cope with the numbers being produced.
Amazingly we will need to reduce the spend down to £1500 a day until 1st May and then back to £2k a day.
... Ridiculous I know and something I can look at next week.
