Gaining knowledge of the long-term outcomes of UK battlefield casualties (Iraq & Afghanistan 2001-2014) with the help of injured & non injured personnel.

The ADVANCE Study is an innovative study and the first of its kind in a British military casualty population. It aims to ensure these deserving individuals are not forgotten during and after their transition into civilian life and, vital lessons are learned and evidence is gathered from their treatment and outcomes that will influence and change care and rehabilitation for all future battlefield casualties.



Although our injured cohort are important, we wouldn’t be able to achieve our aims without the help from those of you who were also deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan between 2001 and 2014 and who were not injured.
