Advocacy (Essex) Services

Advocacy (Essex) Services Ltd is the Managing Agent commissioned by Essex County Council to supply advocacy across the County of Essex, excluding Southend and Thurrock. We contract with local service providers to provide free advocacy to adults in Essex who have a learning disability, a physical or sensory impairment, are older people or those who are family carers. The organisation was formed from the recognition of the need for strong country-wide partnership work and the provision of equitable and consistent advocacy support for all vulnerable people. The key aims of Advocacy (Essex) Services Ltd are to contract with advocacy providers who will: •Support people to make informed choices•Assist vulnerable people to achieve their utmost potential, to live fulfilling lives as valued citizens and members of their community•Empower people to speak out, to take control and to change their lives.
