Went with 3 friends for Sunday lunch and I can honestly say what a pleasure it was to eat there. All the staff were friendly and all looked clean which is something I always look for. All 3 courses we had were excellent and looking forward to going back and trying something else off the menu.

Went there today for my mum's surprise birthday lunch - fantastic! Lovely waitresses and very accommodating chef. I'm vegan and they were so helpful and gave me so much choice. All of us really enjoyed the food. Thank you

Went here for my 50th birthday meal with my family and had a lovely meal. It was extremely good value for money and the food was superb. The service was excellent. We would definitely recommend Affinity. Well done, thank you very much.

We hired we Restaurant out for my in-laws Golden Wedding Anniversary, from start to finish our whole experience was fantastic. The staff were very attentive and professional, nothing was a problem. Food was lovely and all piping hot considering they were serving 40 people. My son remarked on the way home that he wants to go there again because their gravy is the best!! We’ll definitely be going back soon.

We ate there for the first time on Sunday. It was our friends 70th birthday and there 16 of us. The staff were friendly and attentive. Everyone's meals came out at the same time and the food was amazing. There were so many lovely choices. Will definitely be returning to work my way through the menu!!!!!

This is a great dining experience fab food, service & nice relaxed atmosphere.

Thank you so much for the vegan dishes. Event catering can be a bit hit and miss in my experience but the care taken by Affinity was amazing. The dishes were all lovely and beautifully presented. I was especially pleased to see vegan spread for my bread and plant milk for my coffee - something that's often overlooked. Not easy when catering for 300.

Thank you so much for the amazing afternoon tea yesterday for a suprise for my mums 80th birthday. Everything was delicious and so well presented. Staff were all so happy and very attentive.. Mum had a fantastic time as did all her guests. We will be seeing her soon. Xx

My wife and I had a very nice meal at Affinity 1777 on Friday night, presentation and services was good and food was very tasty, I also felt I wasn't getting ripped off with silly prices that you can often see! Will definitely be going back with friends to try a themed night.

My first time tonight and I wasn't disappointed. Food was excellent. Although the ginger was very overpowering in the apple and ginger crumble. The Staff were happy and friendly and they gave fantastic customer service. The meal was booked for a friend's 30th. The restaurant took it upon themselves to pin up 30th birthday banners and place two 30th helium balloons to our table. Also the birthday girl received a big chocolate birthday cake, all at no extra cost. This was a lovely surprise. Thank you. The Restaurant had a good cheerful vibe and was very clean. I will most definitely be back 5*.

Went for the first time yesterday for Sunday lunch and it was lovely- especially the roast potatoes-best I've ever tasted! Staff were very friendly and service was first class. Would definitely recommend. Food presentation was great too. Will definitely be going again. 👍

I went for the first time this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the staff were absolutely fantastic! The only reasons for not giving it a 5 is because the toilets were scruffy and unkempt and we had an hour wait between main and desert, I understand they had a large party in but that shouldn't affect us other patrons! I will definitely return another day �

Affinity has a great choice of food and it is really hard to make a decision what to have from the menu. We booked later on Sunday so not all the puddings were available but what great lengths the staff, who are the absolute best, did to sort us out and certainly made a fantastic effort as I have allergies to strawberries. We have been to Affinity several times and apart from the relax atmosphere great food, the women who look after us all are wonderful, every single one of them.

2nd visit for us and it’s now the summer menu so lots of changes. Was I disappointed , not at all. Brie parcels followed by the chicken bacon and leek pie. Superb. My wife praised the tomato and red pepper soup. Best she’s tasted

Was driving past and realised I was put going to cook tonight so stopped for food.

Looked at its website that featured its 2011 menu!

Went in to find the waitress still setting the restaurant up. Interesting menu of slightly odd options.

Started with whitebait which was quite nice but a bit stuck together.

The main was a chargrilled steak, it was extraordinarily pale and chewy and uncertain of its origins. The potatoes were soft mainly with some undercooked bits. A huge bowl of standard unexciting veg. The whisky and cream sauce was nice except for random unexpected peppercorns.

The dessert was unquestionably the highlight of a rhubarb and ginger crumble with the odd random fruit pieces and sadly low quality ice cream.

Service was at times a bit rapid, as main arrived as soon as starter was finished. The waitress was a delight and very enthused.

Toilet was ok.

Would I return?
