African Children's Fund's work with grass roots partners in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe in education and children’s rights is making a real difference to the lives of 2, 500 children born into poverty every year. Reg charity 1114699.

African Children's Fund is working to break down the barriers preventing African children leading happy and fulfilled lives.

Established in the Spring of 2006, we are a UK based charity and our projects are run by local staff who are committed to - and know the needs of - their own communities.

We believe every child should:

• Have adequate food and shelter
• Have the opportunity to learn and go to school
• Be cared for and nurtured
• Live without fear, with the expectation of equality and justice
• Be given a voice and have their opinions respected and concerns addressed
