Afternoon Tease Cafe

Our brand new venture, a vintage style tearoom and coffee shop, with creative space for writers and artists by day, and hosting Burlesque classes and performances by night. We opened in December 2010, with the aim of bringing a little traditional cafe culture to the Parkgate corner of Darlington, and of course, reviving the art of the tease! Facilities include free wifi and plenty of plug sockets for budding writers wanting a caffeinated place to work; we also have a book exchange and are working on our own publishing press. We are very baby friendly; we have a baby play corner, children's chairs and a toy box and baby change area. Burlesque classes happen Sundays and Tuesday evenings, taught by Miss Tobi James and open to anyone over the age of 18 (men too! ). Please get in touch for more details.
