Age UK Torbay is an independent local charity that has been supporting older people in Torbay for more than 30 years. With a wealth of experience, their mission is to promote the well-being of all older people and help make life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. Age UK Torbay provides a wide range of services and support for older people in our community. The Home Support service provides help with daily tasks such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, pension collection, cooking etc. The Befriending service helps to tackle loneliness and isolation by visiting people in their own homes for a friendly chat. While the Membership scheme offers people the chance to meet for lunch, coach trips, and activities - all with the aim of bringing people closer together. The Head Office at Dendy Road Paignton, provides help with information and advice on many issues including Welfare Benefits, Housing, Form Completion, Residential Care and Fuel Debt. A drop in service is offered Monday – Friday 9. 30- 1pm, with a private room for confidential discussions. Contact the friendly team at Head Office on 01803 555181. Age UK Torbay can also help you with finding a trusted trader from their register of over 20 local trades such as electricians, plumbers, drainage engineers, plasterers, gardeners etc. All the traders are vetted and provide references supporting the quality of their work.
