I am Andrew Holmes and have been operating as A. H Stone Walling for over 21 years. Dry stone walling is a skill and technique that has been within my family for over four generations, first started in the early 1900’s. We feel a great sense of pride and honor to be continuing the traditional craft of dry stone walling across many areas of the country.

During our time operating as A. H Stone Walling, we have developed a broad client base, including private home owners, local councils and stately halls and gardens. Also included in our list of happy customers is British Waterways where we expertly repaired the canal banks. We offer a polite and professional service at all times, meaning that many of our customers return to us frequently.

We assess each new project on an individual basis, offering our friendly and knowledgeable advice to ensure a high standard is achieved in a cost effective manner. At A. H Stone Walling, we consider all types of jobs regardless of size; we have the capability and craftsmanship to meet the needs of the customer. We are fully insured and any work we undertake alongside a public highway is compliant to the ‘New Roads and Street Works Act 1991’ as required by law.

Although the majority of our work is based within Staffordshire and Cheshire and the surrounding areas, we are willing to travel further afield. We hope that you enjoy browsing through our gallery, which will give just a small insight into the type of work we offer.
