Ahern Waste Management and Recycling Services are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to operate fixed and mobile plant at our West Thurrock depot.
The position requires an individual with a Recognised Operator Certificate covering a minimum Material Re-Handler 360 (Wheeled/Above and Below 10T) and loading shovel (wheeled) and must have a minimum 2 years experience ideally in the Waste and Recycling industry, but not essential.
The position will attract a basic hourly... rate of pay of £10.50 based on a 56 hour week.
Week 1 – 6am until 6pm (Monday to Friday) Week 2 – 6am until 5pm (Monday to Friday? & 6am until 12pm Saturday

Just received in a load of brand new wheelie bins. They are logo'd up, buffed up and ready for work. Most will be going to their new working homes from this coming Monday.

Yip, the sheeting system works. Still very tidy after several months of hard work.

We almost forgot about the pair of new Volvo Roll On's that entered service at the end of last year.

Following close on the heels of the 2 new Renault Skip Lorries are a pair of Volvo's. Here's one of them ready for work.

Once it arrives, the presorting begins by machine. It's a messy job, but the lads will crunch through it quickly.

So what happens inside the Big Shed? The men and machines that make it happen once it arrives.

The updating of the fleet continues at a brisk pace. 2 new Renault's have arrived.
