Aidhour is a not-for-profit social enterprise that provides high quality social work and management services, supporting local authorities to fulfil their statutory obligations to children. We support a network of independent and expert associates – all of whom are HCPC registered, experienced and skilled social work professionals, thoroughly vetted and trained to:
•review the cases of children who are looked after, children who are in custody and children placed in secure accommodation
•undertake assessments and reviews of foster carers.
•independently chair child protection conferences, Family Group Conferences
independently undertake Regulation 33 inspections.
•independently investigate social care complaints
provide advocacy services for looked after children, child subject to child protection plans and unaccompanied children (including providing age assessments of children (Merton compliant)
•provide independent consultancy on "stuck" cases and mentoring for social workers and middle management
•set up and manage bespoke single and multi-agency quality assurance audit programmes in preparation for inspections, providing case by case feedback and helping to develop service standards.
