One day seminar
It was a great pleasure to attend the seminar with Richard Simms Sensei 8th Dan Shihan. Hosted by Peter Downs Sensei 7th Dan and the Norwich Aikido Takemusukai at the excellent Kokoronokai Centre on Saturday 21st April.
... It was good to see faces old and new. I am impressed by how much everyone has developed in skill and confidence under Peter's expert tutelage in the year since my last visit.There was a good range of belts on the mat, from keen novice to strong Dan grade. The energy and enthusiasm everyone displayed throughout an intense day of practice created a truly positive and spirited atmosphere.
Richard and Peter's demonstrations of principles through variations provided us with insights that we can all use to develop our future practice. By coming together regularly in this way we can also be assured that we are maintaining a unified method of practice in the Takemusu tradition.
Many thanks to Peter for the day, for looking after us and for arranging the excellent meal afterwards.

Flying visit to the Norwich dojo, the training session was well attended and all were very enthusiastic

2nd month in the years, looking forward to new aikidoka taking up the challenges of training

Our summer school was held on the weekend of 3rd & 4th of this month (I know it was late) at the Kokoro No Kai in Norwich. We had an excellent weekend with student travelling from Bristol, London, Torquay, and of course Norwich. Most stayed for both days while other came for saturday or sunday, regardless they all added to the joys of the Gashuku. The Gashuku is an opportunity for Takemusu aikido kai member can train together and exchange knowlege though training. Thanks to P...eter Sensei for organising & accommodating us at his wonderful house at Itteringham Mills plus cooking the best english breakfast that fuelled us though out the day.

Saturday 23rd May one day spring seminar, great time had by all - have a look at the slide show!

Last saturday 29th Nov saw the influx of aikidoka from Norwich, london, Torquay, Surrey and of course Bristol. The training was vibrant also a test for the capacity Cato Steet dojo can accommodate - dojo was crowded but with room to spare. After went to our local Mococcan restaurant with 15 plus guest well received.

11-12th October was the day of our Gashuku which was held at the Kokoro no kai in Norwich. The spirit was upbeat and all were very keen to take on new things but the weekend was over quickly, as say they "times flies when you're having fun".

The last few month has just flown by, on thurday 9th oct we had sensei Jim kay from Australian sunshine coast Dojo attended our Cato street dojo, we all looked forward to his visit and hope many more will follow.
