AIM Aviation specialises in the design and manufacture of the complete range of cabin interiors to provide added value and vital differentiation for the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers, airlines and leasing companies.
AIM Aviation (Jecco) Ltd was originally founded in Bournemouth in 1926 under its former name of John E Clarke and Company Ltd, a coach and car trimming business designing car hoods, coachworks and other products for the Air Ministry. The company’s reputation for innovation has progressed from the design and manufacture of complete interiors for Saab Aircraft and Concorde to leading edge cabin interiors on Airbus and Boeing wide and narrow body aircraft.
The oldest company in the Group, ‘Henshalls’, began life in the early 1900s making milk churns amongst other products, before developing into a sophisticated design led manufacturer of Galley systems and associated interior components for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
AIM Composites, founded in 1984 outside Cambridge, is one of the leading composite companies in Europe working with the latest materials and technologies for a wide range of customers in Aerospace and related industries. AIM supply advanced lightweight panels and mouldings to all major aircraft manufacturers and airlines as well as the mass transit industry including rail, marine and road transport. The company has extended its capabilities with extensive testing facilities, Chameleon™ panel finishing and radome repair.
AIM Aviation Ltd was formed in 2010 to acquire Jecco, Henshalls and AIM Composites from AIM Group plc. Today, the new group based in the UK, is one of the leading global suppliers of cabin interiors to the world’s leading airlines and OEM’s including Boeing, Airbus and manufacturers of regional aircraft.
